I m burmese. I had been in Japan for six years. Now, I went back to my country for business. I m doing estate, business consulting for japanese and online business here in Yangon.
I stayed with Phyo for 2 separate nights and want to say it was a true pleasure! The living arrangements are very nice and comfortable. The location can be a bit difficult to find, as (website hidden) maps lists his address in the wrong location. Do confirm the address in Burmese with Phyo before coming so you can tell your cab driver correctly.
Also, I would like to give Phyo himself high accolades, as he goes above and beyond the call of duty to help you enjoy your stay. He even went as far as waking up at 5am to deliver me to the bus station so I could successfully travel to the beach. I doubt I would have been able to have done half the things in Yangon without his help. A genuine person and incredibly helpful. Stay here if you come to Yangon!!
I stayed at the home of Phyo for three days and found my room, spacious and comfortable. The staff working in the house were both helpful and friendly and have some English language ability. The property is located quite close to the airport and I was met on arrival by one of Phyo's staff. However the location in Mayangon Township is several miles from downtown Yangon and takes takes some 30minutes to reach most destinations via an easily available taxi service.A simple breakfast was provided and there are some restaurants within half a mile of the house. The room and house was clean and provided a perfect option for my first stay in Yangon,
The location was a problem for me, more than an hour from the city, through horrible traffic at 4.00 pm. Local area has little to offer. The from was adequate, and people friendly enough. Very good wifi, and some snacks, drinks were available.
For me, there could not have been a better place to stay in Yangon. The location was close to my office, and there are numerous food options in the vicinity. Don't miss out on having Mohinga at the Lucky Seven tea shop in the morning. It's a two minute walk and the food is amazing. Cheap, clean and fast - ultimately everything you could ask for. The most important element of my stay however was the friendship and kindness that I experienced. It was great talking to the guys at Phyo's place and getting an insight into Myanmar that you could never get from that damn Lonely Planet book that every tourist seems to clutch on to for dear life. When I return to Myanmar, staying with Phyo will be my first choice.
Très bien accueilli , chambre agréable , on ce sent bien , juste prenez des bouchons pour les oreilles , les chiens des voisins nous réveille,
I enjoyed my stay in Yangon with phyo! Him and his staff were very friendly and drove me around the city, almost like tour guides. The room was comfortable and clean and had the best wifi I experienced in Myanmar. The apartment doubles as some sort of office, and there were always people around. The location is somewhat far from any of the sights of Yangon, in a nice suburban area, so it was essential that phyo and his staff were so good at taking me around. All in all a nice stay, and I liked getting to know phyo and his friends!
Clean, well appointed and quiet room. Phyo was extremely helpful and accommodating. He also showed me the nearest bus-stop and printed a map of downtown for me.
Future guests should be aware that there are two roads of the very same name. This accommodation is near to the airport in a small side street in Shit Hill.
If I were to have another chance to go to Yangon, I would certainly choose Phyo Aung as my host.
Great place to stay. Clean, good air con, breakfast. Phyo picked us up from the airport and took us to Shwe dagon. Highly recommend.
Being located somewhat far from Yangon downtown but close to its airport the place is rather convenient both as an arriving and transitional point. Phyo and his stuff are very friendly and helpful people providing assistance in planning trips in Yangon and around the country, booking tickets and accomodation, transfers, etc. I'd definitely recommend staying in Phyo's house.
