This dormitory style guesthouse is located very close to the Colombo Fort station, in a more rougher part of Colombo. The rooms are is pretty spartan and maybe more suitable for the die-hard backpacker. Don't go here if dirty bathrooms and stained walls frighten you.
First impression when I walked in: "I wish my Dutch stinginess would have allowed me to spent a euros more. That would have saved me from spending the night between stained sheets and a smelly toilet. In the mean time I'll scratch this one off on experience."
The price for one night (17 euro) should be halved to make up for the state of the bedrooms. However, because the staff is very friendly and helpful I give this place 3 stars.
The place is not so clean and find it center of whole sale market.
The manager Mr. Khan is good to upgrade our room.
Very near to colombo fort and easy to reach airport by taxi.
a éviter absolument
Cityrest was in the middle of Pettah, close to Fort train station and a good price. Worked well for a quick transit through Colombo.
