I am a 37 Year old American who works as an economist for USAID.
We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is very nice, clean and well equipped. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to the mall and capitol, short bus or metro ride to the White House and Memorials. Our kids loved the pool and the hot tub, the view from the rooftop hot tub on the Capitol was amazing! Check-in was easy through the concierge.
Only negative point is the noise, it's surprising that a luxury complex like this one doesn't have better windows to block the street noise, even with ear plugs I couldn't sleep past 6:30am (and given that we were visiting from the West Coast, that's very early).
We stayed in an absolutely great unit 906 in Mass Court. I believe it was an upgrade and was it ever although I don't know anything about the original apartment. We loved the place and the location. In fact, it really is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The apartment is about 4 blocks from the Capitol and the Mall in one direction, about 4 blocks from Chinatown and diners heaven on 7th Street and about 4 blocks from Union Station -- where all those tour buses start out. Now about the unit -- it was squeaky clean and very well furnished. We had a great time and will definitely be recommending Bryan's service and Airbnb to our friends. Thanks for a great time.
It was a pleasure staying at the suite. It was roomy enough to accommodate our family of five, and the location saved us the hassle of renting a car! You can walk to any attractions easily!
Bryan was very responsive and flexible with us when we needed to change the dates of our stay. The condo was clean and nice, the only disappointment was that the roof top hot tub was out of order the entire week. The pullout sofa was comfortable, the bed in the bedroom was a little hard, the futon mattress was great so my teens each had a space of their own to sleep. The location was very convenient to Chinatown and the National Mall.
Really nice appartement, we were 3 and stayed 2 nights in Bryan appartement. We didn't had the chance to meet him but he responds really quickly to answer and the concierge desk takes care of everything, really convenient because we arrived in the night. We really enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and the nice view, everything was clean and nice.
Very easy check in and out, fast internet, spacious, a great shower and a brilliant washing machine. Everything I could have wanted and a great location.
Nothing to criticise and my first choice from now on when visiting DC.
The flat is a nice 1-bedroom apartment, in a largish building of similar flats which is a bit of a rabbit warren internally, but otherwise fine - it looks like it's fairly new. There's an exercise room on the ground floor. The building's location is good: 10 mins walk to Union Station; 5 mins to a metro; 15 mins from the US Capitol. Food? It's got it's own kitchen, and is right on top of Wise Guys Pizza, which is great and stays open very late, and across the road from the Tel'Veh cafe and wine bar (also recommended).
You can just see the Capitol dome from inside the flat. The main bed is comfortable; the room has a useful closet, but could do with slightly better window shades/curtains. There's a foldout sofa bed in the living room, which was fine for sitting, but our 6' son reported that it wasn't terribly comfortable to sleep on. Candles were provided, but we found no matches.
Everything was clean. Instructions were clear and good. 24 hour concierge desk was helpful - we were able to check in at 1am, and leave luggage with them after we checked out. The support staff were very responsive and helpful, even over a holiday weekend, but unable to fix the really slow WiFi - it worked, but only got 0.7Mb/s download speed. (Blame Comcast, I think.)
The location of the apartment is ideal for me - I was working close by and it was easy to walk back and forth to work even in the really cold weather.
The flat is as it looks in the pictures, but as others have said, shows some wear and tear - notably the white sofa is now dirty. It has a very neutral decor, beige carpet and magnolia walls. The level of cleanliness overall was good but not sparkling - a bit of dust in corners and things, nothing to complain about.
Recommend you take your swimsuit for the rooftop jacuzzi and pool even in the winter. I didn't but they were open and in use. Great view from up there.
The check in and check out procedures don't involve Bryan, but he came to the apartment to show me how to use the dryer, which I appreciated. He does run the flat as part of a property management company.
This is a clean well maintained nondescript corporate apartment rental in a massive highrise apartment zone, 3 blocks south of Chinatown on a very busy three arterial intersection and freeway on-ramp. It is a very safe industrially lighted zone, and while it is not in a "neighborhood" in any sense, it is well situated for tourism and business uses if you don't require any residential charm. In addition to Chinatown's proximity, It is somewhat close to the Capitol, Union Station, some monuments, government offices, and the courts. Because of the giant traffic intersection on which it is situated, hailing cabs could not be faster or easier. The corporate agent is highly professional and responsive, so that while there is a feeling of isolation in the sterile apartment unit and complex, you won't feel abandoned. But if you need darkness to sleep, bring your blinders because the high intensity traffic lighting easily forces its way through the window blinds such that the whole unit is well illuminated even at 2am.
All of the kitchen appliances and washer/dryer are like new, the elevators are fast, and the corporate feeling lobby is always staffed at the desk. This is not a "concierge" or "reception" desk, it is more of security post with very friendly low paid workers who don't know much, but who will try to help with a smile. In short, this rental is well located to be on your way somewhere else in DC, and is well equipped for your logistical needs, other than sleep.
The bldg and the location were great considering the ice, snow and bone-chilling weather. The TV in the bedroom wasn't working. The furnishing are not as nice as other similar apts I have tried in the area via Airbnb, but overall, it's a nice place and I will probably stay here again in the future.
Great guest! I would recommend to any potential host. Welcome back anytime.
Our guest Bryan is very polite and nice guest. I'm glad to have met him. Even, he is a colleague of mine, possessing hotel apartments in USA. I wish I could be his guest too!
Bryan was a good guest & I highly recommend him!
