Mr. Burman and his associate (probably related) made us feel very comfortable. They extended all possible help to make our entry into their premises comfortable. A person helped us with parking. Another helped us with water and tea. While we were settling in, the check in was pushed to later so that we could quickly go and freshen up. OUr hosts checked up on our plan and offered suggestions for our next days trip. THe property was experienced in the same way as listed and it is conveniently located. Rooms / bathrooms are lovely..... we relaxed and our objective of breaking our journey at this homestay was met
Dinesh was great. The check in process was painless and the daily breakfast was a fantastic touch. The location was close to major sights in Agra. Dinesh was also kind enough to personally find a ride for me back to New Delhi.
Dinesh's 'home stay' in Agra was quite a warm and welcoming experience! The first thing I can say about staying here was the home cooked meal, which was the best meal I had in India. Dinesh Kumar Burman and his brother, both retired from the Indian Tourism divisions of the Indian government - run the homestay here somewhat as a hobby and for 'the love of it'. They are dream hosts and Dinesh also has more information about what to do and not do in India than anyone else. Five stars all around - I look forward to staying at Bansi homestay my next trip to India!
Séjour très sympathique. Bansi home stay est une très agréable maison d'hôte avec un personnel charmant et chaleureux. Je recommande sans hésiter.
Very charmons and warm guesthouse. Nice people who care of your satisfaction and want you to enjoy your stay. Good advises.
I highly recommend this place, it is not only clean and very comfortable, but the host is fantastic. They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room is absolutely gorgeous and the food was better than expected. I have traveled extensively throughout India as I am married to an Indian, and this is one of the nicest places I have stayed at. Make sure to ask how to use the electrical outlets though as that can be a bit tricky.
Unfortunately I was only able to stay one evening but will return hopefully many more times!
This b&b, with its 5 rooms built mostly above Dinesh’s original home, has been finished beautifully, with large, comfortable rooms very tastefully decorated. The greatest benefit, though, of staying here, was Dinesh himself and his assistant Viney. Dinesh was always there when we came down for breakfast, and was extremely helpful, partly because of his attitude and also because of his extensive knowledge. Viney could also be counted on to be very helpful. For dinner too, they joined in. The hospitality with which one is received at this b&b is, in my experience, highly unusual. It began with them offering to arrange for a taxi pickup. This was especially helpful, given that the train from Delhi was delayed, hence arrival was at 3.15am instead of 4.15pm.
The stay was nicely capped off by providing a complimentary packed dinner for the train trip out of Agra, and indicating that we could stay until the late afternoon, several hours after check-out time.
Thanks very much, Dinesh! I hope I can visit again some time.
We were welcomed with open arms at Bansi Home Stay and Dinesh quickly addressed any issues we had. His staff cooked us a delicious "tummy" friendly breakfast specially after we had been ill. The situation is great for walking to the Taj Mahal. The beds were very comfortable and the showers piping hot. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.
It might be that our wishes were attended to at BAnsi eventually. But I only have bad memories of it. Before we came to Agra, Dinesh called to make sure we got the right prices for two rooms explaining that the Airbnb price is only for one room. When you enter the entrance hall, an unpleasant smell awaits you. No welcome, no tea, we immediately got the hand over passports and sign in. Before even seeing our rooms. When we after a request went to our room, I immediately noticed that the bed sheets were dirty. These were changed after a short discussion. There was no air in the room, just the awkward smell of a room perfume. It is winter in India, it is cold at night. We had to ask for additional covers and a heater. They were not in the room. The bathroom was not heated. We were traveling with a child and asked for supper as soon as possible. It was said to us that supper is at 8pm and they will try their best. Supper was at 8:45pm, our son completely exhausted. When we came back to our room, load music came from outside. Very loud. A wedding party was taking place just behind the building. Nobody every said anything about this. I went down to check when this stops. 10pm. At 11pm finally the music stopped. You can take all this with a smile in India, no problem. But sorry to say this: the energy at Bansi is bad.
Our group of 5 had a wonderful stay at Bansi! We arrived by train and promptly got picked up by our host. The rooms are large, clean and well furnished. The breakfast here is delicious and ended up being our favourite throughout our India trip. Dinesh and his staff were so helpful and made Agra a highlight on our trip. I would highly recommend staying here!
Bansi was a beautiful venue to stay at. The rooms were quite large, which gave a group of three lots of space to feel comfortable. Dinesh is a warm host, who was always available to help you out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
One tip when staying here would be to dress warmly. Being the middle of winter and without heating, the temperature was quite nippy at night. Extra blankets and a heating fan were provided for us, but that could only do so much considering the size of the room.
