Welcome – Bienvenue – Welkom!
I'm a full-time professional who works at an international consulting firm headquartered downtown Austin. Parallel to that, I'm a freelance Photographer (Fashion, Film, Music and Advertising industry) and previously worked as an Executive Assistant and Interpreter in the diplomatic world among the Royal Thai Embassy and (international) organizations in Europe.
Born in Texas, my cosmopolitan nomadic life started when I moved to the Netherlands at the age of 4, where I resided for the predominant part of my life, connected to eclectic European / international cultures and lifestyles.
Five years ago I met the love of my life, Franck, whereafter I moved to beautiful Montréal, Canada to join him to build a life together. I braved the 6-month -30 ºF Montréal Winters, learned French–Québécois (which is quite
different to Parisian French) relished the best cuisine among 'Poutine'; an extremely popular dish in Montréal, and fell in love with the city, which I will dearly miss.
I recently moved back to my roots in Texas, whereafter my life partner Franck (Filmmaker and Advertising professional) will join me in Austin, once I am settled down in my own Apartment / Loft in the Music Capital.
Close friends and people alike express I am respectful, easy going, friendly, calm and considerate as a guest. I am a non-smoker and clean up after myself, living a healthy lifestyle as much as possible, with the exception of
Italian Biscotti's and Dutch Stroopwafels. ;-) I love pets: big and small.
My interests consist of: Photography, Design, Technology, Film, Arts, Culture, Travel, Literature, Yoga and Martial Arts. Once I am settled down, I love to cook inspired by chefs and foodies such as Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Wolfgang Puck.
Fluent in Dutch, I can teach you a few words if you want. I can also offer recommendations where to travel in Europe to what the best spots, restaurants, bistros, and museums are to visit in Montréal. I am conversational in French,
German and Italian.
Thank you – Merci Beaucoup – Dank je Wel for stopping by, and looking forward to prospectively meet with wonderful people worldwide!
