Francesca's place was great, really spatious, confortable and close to many public transportation options to go around the city, despite this the neighborhood was not expensive and eating around or going to the groceries was more reasonably priced than in the more touristic parts of the city. Definitely a place to come back again!
We - a group of seven, with four adults and three kids - had a very nice stay at the spacious, well-equipped apartment. It is located in a central part of the city with public transport within immediate reach. The apartment is unusually quiet for Roman standards. Francesca provides a nice folder with useful tips in the neighborhood and the city. Very reliable transport service from and to Fiumicino airport as well. We can definitely recommend the place.
The reservation was canceled 58 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Me and my family have had a great time in Rome, and Francesca's appartment is big and calm in a nice building. Metro is less than 5 minutes walking and Roma termini at 10min walk. And there are two nice restaurants close to the appartment, cheap and good authentic italian meals (not just pizza or pasta, but both were excellent).
Francesca booked a private taxi for my family and they had a perfect ride from the airport. The driver was nice and gave many information and tricks for the visit.
Hope to see you again Francesca!
Overall, we enjoyed staying at Francesca's apartment. It was in a convenient location, within an easy reach of everything we wanted to see. Francesca was helpful in setting it up the way we wanted (double beds and even a cot for a baby) and also in helping out with all practical aspects, especially where to eat in the neighborhood. The apartment itself is comfortable with super high ceiling, relatively large bedrooms and a convenient kitchen. Small details like having dishwasher and washing machine detergent made it a very comfortable stay.
Several minor remarks:
- Water pressure is quite low and effectively despite there being two bathrooms only one person can take a shower at a time.
- The radiators are on a central heating system so you can't really control the temperature yourself. It was a bit chilly for us (with +10 degrees outside).
- Also note that if you are going to use the internet, it costs €3 per day.
Overall, it was a good apartment for the money and we all had a positive experience here.
The apartament is spacious, charming and well-equiped. Ideal for 6 people. We had a problem with the blocking of the toilet of one of the bathroons, which caused us some inconvinience, but there wasn't enough time to repair. All in all, it was a good experience.
Francesca helped us with the transfers from and to Fiumicino airport, what was very convinient for us.
Francesca was very friendly and helpful. She organized the taxi transfer from the airport to the apartment for us,
gave us a map and showed the nearest places for shopping.
The flat is very spacious for 6 persons. We found it
- in the toilets: 2 roll toilet papier
- detergent for the dishwasher
- various spices for cooking
- tea towels
- 2 towels per person
- plated beds
The additional cost are
- tourist tax (2 EUR / person and day)
- Internet 3 EUR / day
In the surroundings are (area ~200 m)
- delicoius ice cream (palazzo del freddo: Fassi, #65)
- super market with bakery (emme piu, open at 8:00 a.m.)
- market (vegetables, fish, meet, shoes, clothing)
- restaurants (italian, indian)
In the living room there is also a folder with tourist informations and addresses.
Nice, spacious and confortable apartment! Next to the metro station. Francesca was helpful and easy to contact.
This apartment is a good option in Rome, walking distance from Termini train station. The area is not the most posh, but there is quite a famous ice cream parlour right across the road, for your Italian gelato experience! Plus metro just one block away, which is very convenient. Trams and buses run past the door.
We were there in August, and it was very hot, so we were glad of the airconditioning units in each of the three bedrooms. There is no airconditioning in the kitchen/living/dining, though, just a fan, but the apartment does stay relatively cool with the units in the other rooms.
Check-in was handled by Francesca's friend in her absence. We had to pay a small city overnight tax per visitor per night cash on arrival and sign an extra paper contract, in addition to what already applied between us contractually via the AirBnB website, which was in my view overkill.
Francesca was flexible with our checkout time on the last day, which was nice.
Only a few small things were not quite right. The toilet seat in the second very small bathroom had completely detached from the toilet, which makes it actually quite dangerous to sit on, since it slides right off. Also, there was not enough toilet paper provided for our stay of three nights. There is a dishwasher, but no dishwashing machine powder was provided. Kind of silly to have to go out and buy your own big bottle of it when you are only there for a few days. The apartment can host 6+ people, although the single beds, when made up as singles and not pushed together to make doubles, are quite narrow.
The apartment is essentially furnished with quite cheap-end Ikea furniture, nothing fancy, but adequate.
Considering the size, location and price, not a bad deal for Rome, especially if you are a bigger group.
