We are from Newcastle, Australia. Like many Aussies, we love the outdoors, especially the beach and the mountains. We love sport, music, food, and spending time with quality people. We LOVE adventure and are really pumped to be on our way to America for a road trip and to catch up with family and friends. It has been one of our dreams to road trip through the states (for Jess, especially Hollywood, for me Yosemite and for both of us...New York!). It gets to happen in June!!!
Jess and I were married in 2009, we are both at grad school, studying master of clinical psychology (Andrew in 2nd and final year, Jess in 1st year). We love to leave work as work and live as rich a life as possible, not with money but with people we love, and with adventure.
Regarding travel, we have travelled fairly extensively. Myanmar is one of our favourites. We have done some aid work there in 2008 and 2010. We are planning on heading back there in January 2014. My family (Andrew) is from South Africa, so that was a special place to visit. Other highlights have been Egypt, India, and Germany. The thing we are really looking forward to is being tourists in America. If we are travelling it is usually work related and we usually try to live like locals, which can be rough and tough sometimes. This time we are visiting some America friends in Massachusetts who did exchange at college with us (International House at University of Newcastle). But before we head to the east coast, we are road tripping on the west coast. Starting in LA, we go to Vegas, grand canyon, Yosemite, and San Francisco. There are so many other great places to visit but they are the things we really want to experience and see.
We are relaxed and clean people. We always have people staying at our place in Newcastle, and hate it when people don't treat our place with the respect they would their own (and love it the rest of the time). We will definitely look after your place and leave as nice as it was when we got there.
