Luca and Nicole are amazing hosts - the best of the best! They were waiting at the door-step to greet us and even offered to come and meet us at the train station. It was only a short 15-minute white cab ride from Roma Termini and cost us 12 Euros. Avoid the private taxis (often with Benz cars) like a plague for they can rip you off for 35 Euros or higher. One could also take the express 40 bus and then a short walk to the apartment.
Luca and Nicole spent an hour to settle us down, showed us around the neighborhood and while Luca gave us great tips of what to see and where to eat in Rome, Nicole served us fresh espresso and looked up online reservation time slots for the Vatican Museum!
We loved the cozy bed-n-breakfast apartment on Via Banco di Santo Spirito, right across the Pointe Sant'Angelo bridge. The 2-minute walk to Nero Caffe every morning for the breakfast (included with the stay) was quite a treat with the warm reception and amazing selection of croissants/pastries, fresh orange juice and flavorful cappuccino and hot chocolate! The Forno bakery down the street is open 24-hours and a great place to grab a quick panini, pizza or biscotti! The Carrefour grocery shop is also a stone's throw away.
The apartment was truly centrally located, yet in a nice and quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist mad rush. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Vatican, Faro Al Gianicolo lighthouse on top of a hill with a stunning aerial and panoramic view of Rome, Piazza Navona. Even the walk to Piazza del Popolo was not so bad, from where we climbed the hill to go to Galleria Borghese (must see)!
Great and affordable restaurants a short walk from the apartment were San Giorgio Sri (right around the block from the apartment on Via di Panico), Enoteca Corsi (near the Pantheon, family owned open for lunch only, except Thu and Fri), Bar del Fico (short walk trom Piazza Navona), and finally one a cab ride to the Cavour area was La Cicala e La Formica!
We loved everything about our stay. Luca and his wife are wonderful hosts and the flat was perfect for our stay. We will definitely give him another look should we pass through Rome again!
Luca and Nicole are very kind and generous. They are the best hosts. Luca provided us various good information about the city of Rome. Nicole picked up us at Termini station and served wonderful breakfast early in the morning. She walked us with my baggage to the train station to make sure we got on the right train to the airport. The aprtment is the best location to get around in the city. I will definitely stay with them if I have another chances to visit Rome. Luca and Nicole! thank you for kind consideration.
Luca and Nicole are wonderful hosts! It felt like I was staying at a friend's house. Both Luca and Nicole offered to meet me at the train station upon my arrival. Upon leaving Rome, Nicole walked me to the train station to make sure I got on the right train to the airport. The bedroom is large and the bathroom was about 8 steps away. Both Luca and Nicole explained Rome to me and the best way to get around! I highly recommend staying with them!
Top stay in a top B&B with a top host
Luca was excellent help all weekend - great advice on where to eat, where to run and how to get around
Himself and Nicole do everything they can to make the stay as enjoyable as possible
Fantastic stay in a lovely apartment, hosted by the great Luca!
We were there for a weekend in early February and even got to take advantage of the roof garden. The apartment is nicely laid out and the bedrooms are huge
Everything was clean and easy to use & find. Very easy to find from Termini station too - only a 5min walk.
We will definitely be back
First of all, i would like to thanks to Luca and nicole. They are soooo nice and friendly. It was my first europe trip with mama. Nicole went to train station to meet us and guide us how to their apartment. We met also luca in apartment. He explained us where to go for tour, where is good restaurant, supermarket.. etc. They made our rome trip to be perfect!!!!!
Luca and nicole's apartment is very near from termini station and very convenient to go around historical place. Apartment has one bedroom, kitchen with complete stuff, bathroom and comfy living room!!! If you are looking for the place to stay in rome, i strongly recommend to stay luca's place. Such a wonderful place!
Luca and Nicole are great hosts. They are very friendly and very well organized. They were kind enough to help me with my itinerary, show hidden secrets of Rome and take me to the station because my flight was early so it was dark outside. If I ever go back to Rome I would love to stay with them again.
Luca and Nicole are the best hosts ever! Nicole warmly welcomed us in Termini station. Luca thoroughly explained the famous places including tourist spots and restaurants in Rome. It was very helpful because my friend and I did not have much time in Rome(only 3 days and 4 nights). Thanks to them, we had a great time in Rome with their cozy, spacious and well-equipped rooms. If I have one more chance to go to Rome, I will definitely visit their house again!! :D
