Hello. My name is Pedro and my wife is Antónia. I'm a dance artist and Antónia is a musician and music teacher. This house is our home and we are glad to open its doors for you and welcome you in Porto.

Most of my time is dedicated to dance (specifically contemporary dance). I explore dance in many ways as a performer, choreographer and teacher. I believe these different aspects of dance are very interconnected and express my need for creating, moving and sharing. I love the idea and the feeling of making something intense and meaningful with your body and the process of building things with others.
Beside this passion for dance I have another occupation: I teach adults how to ride a bike (yes, really, there are lots of people who don't know how to ride a bike :). Well, this started a couple of years ago with an experience with my mother (who didn't know how to ride a bike) and became a more and more important thing for me. Since then I have taught about 30 people from 7 to 75-year-old and I can tell you its an awesome experience :) You meet a lot of different people, go outside to run and ride, have a great time and make someone else really happy. This kind of sharing and interaction is something that really drives me.

Antónia is my soul mate. If I'm all dance she is all music. She is a singer and a music teacher. She teaches in a conservatory and works mainly with kids from 5 to 10-year-old. She is really passionate about it and believes that teaching music is not only a way of making kids learn how to play an instrument but also a way of developing creativity, artistic sensibility, maturity, learning how to be with others and being part of a group, learning how to express yourself while respecting others space (well, you can learn a lot in her music classes :).
She is now working on her master thesis on music teaching and the practice of inquiry as a way of achieving meaningful learning. If all goes well she will finish it this June.

Well, aside from all of this, I just want to say that we really enjoy receiving people in our home through Airbnb. The apartment is great and we love to welcome people in our house and in our city. Porto is a great city to visit and we like to think that by receiving our guests the best way we can we make their trip even more exciting and rich.

All best,

Pedro
