All the previous positive reviews must be true...We had a great experience hosting Ingrid and her husband!
Extensive communication and very clear about her ETA and purpose of visit. It was our pleasure to have you over!
Tout s'est bien passé, je n'ai malheureusement pas eu l'occasion de rencontrer les voyageurs, mais tout était en ordre et propre.
À bientôt j'espère Ingrid.
Ingrid was a great guest. We were here to meet her when she arrived, but then had to leave the city and so left our house in her care. No problems at all.
Ingrid was a very easy guest to host. She communicated well when she needed to get in touch and she left the flat spotless.
Ingrid was a perfect guest who took excellent care of the apartment. Communication was clear throughout. We met at the start and end of her stay and it was great to chat with her and hear about her trip. We would be delighted to have her return to our apartment and recommend her to other hosts.
Alles supi. Gerne wieder!!!
Response from Celine:
the concept of Airbnb is share an existing apartment to other travellers in order to really experience the country/people/culture of the visiting country. Therefore any apartment just like other accommodation on Airbnb are not comparable to a hotel service.
Every guest receives an email with a "Where to find supermarket, etc", "How to use the kitchen equipment", "Local Bremen bars and restaurants tips" guide which had been also sent to you. I do not agree that guest are left with surprises.
I was unable to meet you in person as I was away for business but I suppose many of your questions could have been solved via phone rather than the back and forth of communication just via email (I would have preferred talking to you directly on the phone).
As you can read in the previous review, other visitors were very satisfied with the cleanliness of my apartment as I have a cleaning lady who looks after the apartment. As shared with you via Email, I was happy for her to come to the apartment whilst your stay and she could clean the place once again but you had refused to accept.
As for the toilet paper, again it is a self cater accommodation, I do not stock up a family pack of toilet paper and it was located in the bathroom cabinet. The garbage is not locked, you need to press the handle up in order to open it.
My apartment is a one person accommodation hence I had emptied enough space in my wardrobe allowing visitors to use the hanging space.
The apartment is very sunny which I find every nice as Germany gets grey a lot. It is not too hot in Germany therefore the drapes do not need to be down at all times but this is a personal choice.
In Germany, laundry machines are often located in the cellar which is the same with me.
I was hoping to meet you at my apartment or call you directly to clarify your questions but unfortunately you seemed not wanting to accept and help offered such as meeting you over lunch or dropping you off at the airport.
For future landlords, please make sure that you meet Ingrid upfront as communication during the stay is rather complicated.
Ingrid stayed at my apartment for one month. She is nice and friendly and communicated regularly. The check in and out was very smooth and she left the apartment spotless. It was a pleasure to host Ingrid. She would be a perfect guest for any home.
