Response from Duygu:
* Correction to Audur's review in reference to my gender: I am a female. It’s true that I am a particular guest. I think we all are individuals and that makes us all particular. I took a painting that includes swastikas in it off of the wall because it was unpleasant for me to look at considering the painful role that symbol has played in my family's history. It’s all that was moved, nothing else and it was not damaged. In fact, it was handled carefully--taken down gently and turned around. The review I wrote can be considered long if one happens to see it that way. Ultimately, it was an attempt to be fair and thorough--it includes positives and concerns both. During our stay we were concerned about how to handle the sliding door to the bathroom and requested her attention, but Audur ignored our emails. This had to be mentioned on the review because it really bothered us that she never got back to us. As a long time Airbnb host, I know very well how important it is to keep in touch with guests during their stay especially if they are having a trouble with part of the apartment. I can’t comment on other reviewers of Audur’s apartment. Those who chose to post in the past said positive things and that is why we stayed at her home. My political and religious views are tolerant, not an issue of any sort, and it’s quite wrong of Audur to suggest otherwise. It was hard for me to look at art with swastika’s. I didn't think there is anything wrong with that and I don’t now. My review was/is an honest one. Completely and totally.
