"Don't be a cup with a dry rim, or someone who rides all night and never knows the horse beneath his thighs, the surging that carries him along." -Rumi
For me, life is about submerging my "cup" into the ocean of experience. There are many ways in which I connect with the fullness of life; traveling, practicing/teaching yoga, and being a mother easily rank as my top awakening experiences.
Traveling helps me to expand my mind and renew my heart. I have traveled across the US and worldwide, including places like, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the Caribbean. My husband also loves traveling and has spent time in Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand. I lived in New Zealand for about 5 months; and it is, by far, my favorite travel destination. The amazing diversity and the breath-taking beauty of the landscape is equally matched by the friendliness of the people. (If you ever have the opportunity to travel there, do not pass it up!)
Yoga is my life passion. I have been practicing yoga since 2001 and teaching since 2009. Cultivating love, compassion, and unity is the essence of my practice. I enjoy practicing yoga at different yoga studios when I travel, and I especially love the sense of community at each yoga studio I visit.
My husband and I are the very lucky parents of our son, who was born summer of 2012. We are a laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of family. We like to explore the areas we visit, which means we are usually out and about. As parents, we are looking forward to instilling in our son our love for adventure and meeting new people.
