We were not pleased that Elocin did not inform us that she was staying after check out at 11:00 am. Our housekeeper came after 1:45 pm to service the apartment since we had guests arriving at 3:00 pm. She told him that she was permitted to have a late check out, when indeed she did not. It put us in a situation where the other guests arriving had to wait for the apartment since it was not ready.
We state in our instructions that check out is at 11:00 am. If guests flights are later, we can happily store their bags at our arrival location. We could of come to the apartment and taken the bags for her if she only communicated with us.
Nicole booked my place for her two siblings who were visiting her in New York City. She and her siblings left the apartment in good enough shape. My main concern is a lack of communication on her part -- she did not communicate during her siblings’ stay so we could not provide the easy solutions that existed to the concerns they had. When vacating the apartment, she took the apartment keys (and later suggested she mail them to us, even though she lives two blocks away) after we requested that they be left inside the apartment.
