This is a great house and I would definitely stay here again when I visit NOLA. 7 girls for a birthday weekend. Beautiful house and fun neighborhood. Even better than the pictures. Tons of space, well stocked with coffee, milk, orange juice, fresh fruit, cereal... All supplies including to-go cups! A short walk from District (cute coffee restaurant on Magazine), shops, the Bus and the Streetcar. Well furnished with VERY comfortable beds and couches. Huge table to gather around with your group. The record player and vinyls were the best touch! The alarm also made us feel safe. Mat is such a gracious host with great recommendations and super helpful. He made sure we all arrived and departed safely and had a great time while we were there.
Mat was a great host that offered many of the conveniences you are used to at home making AirBNB's community so much more attractive to use then the hotel experience. He offered a nice mini-bar with a very reasonably priced menu, and although we did not take advantage of that, it was nice to have as an option. His neighborhood is in a good part of New Orleans close to great shopping and restaurants. All of my friends staying with me were very impressed with the house and I got all the credit for finding it which was cool.
Mat and Reena's house was amazingly comfortable and welcoming! They are really kind hosts! They are there to help you whatever you need. The house was very clean and in a quiet and very beautiful area. Really safe area + the hosts have locked gates and alarm system there for you.
A lot of amenities: great quality shampoo, soaps, etc. All the basics in the kitchen + welcoming packet of cereals, juice, bio milk, etc!
Very spacious house. We were 3 couples there for a week and we were sad to leave when we left.
Thanks for everything!
Our host was amazing! Mat provided us with everything that made us feel comfortable at his home! From mimosa materials in the fridge, to shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, we had everything we needed to get our trip started off right. He provided us with instructions on where to get groceries, and many other suggestions on what to do in the area. The house was GORGEOUS!!! Me and all of my bridesmaids wanted to move in and stay forever. :) It is a great house to stay in and I can't wait to come back and stay again!! It made my bachelorette party absolutely perfect. It couldn't have been better. Thanks Mat!
Great place. Perfect for 6 of us (2 couples, and 2 singles - one staying on the extra bed stashed in the closet) who were in town for a wedding/college reunion. Mat left us organic milk and cereal and some beer which was so sweet.
The place is comfortable, lovely, clean. Again, perfect. We walked 3 blocks to a café in the am (though Mat did leave us some coffee as well!) and walked all over the lower garden district for shopping and eating.
I reserved it, and got innumerable compliments from my friends who stayed with me.
We spent Thanksgiving here, the house was perfect and Mat was a terrific host. From the very beginning he made sure we had the pots and pans we needed for cooking, and came by with a platter we needed to serve the turkey. The house is extremely comfortable and Mat had stocked it with coffee, cereal, milk and fruit on the house. The record player and jazz LPs were a great touch - yes we did use it!
The location is very convenient - easy ride in to downtown, near to the yoga studio we went to in the warehouse district and also easy to visit our son at Tulane. Neighborhood is a little edgy - but we loved being close to the restaurants and stores on Magazine and Prytania. Would definitely recommend if you planning to visit New Orleans.
This was the PERFECT property for a family weekend in NOLA. We had 8 people - 4 adults, 2 teens and two kids and there was plenty of space. The neighborhood is convenient, walking distance to anything in the Garden District, street car ride to the Quarter, the parking is easy, the house is recently renovated to perfection including chef's kitchen. Mat was an awesome host, filled the frig with goodies, left everything we would need to feel at home - even lots of extra sheets and towels. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in New Orleans.
We decided to spend a three day weekend in New Orleans, seven adults and a three month baby. We had a wonderful time. Mat's property is perfectly located to discover the Garden District all the way to Uptown. The house is perfect for six people/three couples but can host up to 8 with an additional bed placed in the living room. Mat was very responsive at all times and helpful. He had prepared lists with cool stuff to do in town and his favorite places for food and drinks. Overall that type of experience you wish for every time you book a property in Airbnb. Thank you Mat!
The Crawford's home was perfect for our NOLA family vacation. It is well-kept, up-to-date and a great set-up for for relaxed gatherings. New Orleans is an eclectic environment and the Crawford's home was our diamond in the rough.
This property was outstanding! We traveled with 4 teenagers and the accommodations were perfect. The house was in a terrific (email hidden)e gated parking was a nice feature as well. The house was clean and well maintained. There were many nice features to the house resembling a 5 star hotel-too many to mention . Mat also left his recommendations for the city and he was spot on! We particularly liked the restaurant recommendations along with his running route suggestion. My husband being a runner enjoyed the route from the house and ran a good 5-6 miles down the streetcar line to Audobon Park. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting New Orleans!
