I am an internationalist sort of person, an American who for over forty years now has traveled all over, and outside, the United States. I had previously lived overseas a couple of times, in Greece and in England, and have traveled extensively in the Arab world. After meeting an Austrian while I was living in Greece one summer, I eventually moved from California to marry and set up my life here in Austria, where I teach English literature in the Middle Years program at Vienna International School. In addition to offering my apartment in Vienna for rent during school vacation times, we are building a house in a beautiful place in the Greek islands, which we will eventually rent out at times (see my fourth photo for the view from our land). I motorcycle in the Austrian Alps, play Irish tunes on guitar, and study Middle East history and politics. My wife Dagmar is a teacher also (Art and ESL), and has been a student and teacher of bellydance for many years.
