Nin's place is amazing, its our second time here with our 2 young boys and its their favorite place in Woodstock, the garden backs on onto a river which occupies them for hours even in subzero temperatures! Nin checked in on us to see if we had everything we needed and is the perfect host. The cottage has everything you need, we will be back in the summer!
My girlfriend and I spent a cozy Valentine's weekend at Nin's place, and we loved our stay. The little house is beautifully decorated—rustic, modern, and unfussy—and equipped with everything we needed to have a peaceful, quiet few days. We especially enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and warming up next to the woodstove. Nin was a perfect host, too; she gave us privacy, but still checked in to make sure everything was going well. She also provided great recommendations of things to do in Woodstock, and even offered to help me arrange for a couple of Valentine's Day surprises. We'd gladly stay at Nin's again.
I love Nin and Ralphs place. It house is super cute and comfy and the outdoor space is great. We went for a walk with our two year old in the woods, skimming stones on the river. Will definitely visit again!
We had a fantastic Stay. The moment we arrived we walked into a warm peaceful space and felt right at home. My girlfriend and I were looking to get away for the weekend to relax and I have to say both of us were so pleased. The entire place is tastefully decorated and really makes good use of the space from the kitchen to the fantastic bathroom with a soaking tub.
WE will be back!
This place is ridiculously beautiful and our hosts were lovely! Highly recommend!
Nin's cottage is beautifully designed, quiet and comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay & Nin was super helpful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing upstate trip.
My husband and I went up to Woodstock from Long Island for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The space was perfect and exactly as pictured/described in the listing. Nin and her family were extremely kind and helpful but also completely unobtrusive and walking around the property we felt as if we were there entirely on our own.
The location was extremely convenient to Woodstock but also just a short drive to Kingston and Saugerties. I would absolutely recommend this space to friends and hope to go back for a visit soon.
The listing was exactly as pictured. We loved walking across the lawn to the stream and having coffee. Beyond the stream are the woods with beautiful trailsThe cottage is very cozy--perfect for a couple to get away from it all and relax. Broadview is a wonderful road for a run as well! You can do a near 5 mile loop with lovely hills and flats. There must have been a dozen deer grazing along the driveway that just kind of looked at me like I was crazy as I ran past.
It was great to cook our own breakfast and eat on the patio while the squirrels ran around the yard. Marvin, the dog, checked on us occassionally as well.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful week here, and highly recommend it!
The cottage is a wonderful cozy space in a beautiful setting. Nin was a wonderful host - checked in on us and made some local recommendations but wasn't overbearing. This is quite the retreat and a wonderful area to explore!
After our first week in Brooklyn, this place was really amazing. The place is furnished beautifully and the environment unspoiled. The Mill Stream runs in the backyard and if you cross the water, following the Comeau Trail, you end up in the center of Woodstock. We enjoyed our stay and the kids had a great time. It's the perfect place to discover the Catskills region. Hiking to the overlook mountain fire tower, climbing with the whole family up to the Kaaterskill falls, visiting nice towns around (Kingston, Rhinebeck), playing mini-golf in Kingston, visiting the Vanderbilt Mansion and the F. Roosevelt home in Hyde Park, strolling through the flea market in Woodstock, are great things we did when staying in Woodstock.
Our hosts were very nice and welcoming, and having moved fairly recently from Brooklyn to this place in Woodstock, are doing a great job at fixing and restoring the place.
Upon arrival, we also were invited to Austens' birthday party, turning 70 and living next door. We had a great evening meeting nice people in the garden. Woodstock is a nice place and very relaxed, and the house is a perfect spot to get away from the stress and noise of the city.
Thanks again for having us.
