This review is unsubstantiated by any facts. We came to the unit at 3:30, which was 30 minutes after the check-in time listed in the posting. The unit was dirty and otherwise not as described in the listing. We contacted airbandb and they then contacted the host. We were encouraged to speak to the host directly and did so, and requested that the unit be cleaned and we were given the excuse that the housekeeper did not come due to traffic.
We did not "yell at" the host, and had a lovely conversation with the housekeeper about our dog, and we did not see or speak to a gardener so this is obviously a fabrication.
In terms of the service dog, we notified the host that we have a service animal prior to booking in order to make sure that this was ok with them-our reservation was accepted so we did not think anything else of it. This information is captured in the chat history on the airbandb page.
We requested the hair dryer at 7:35 pm on Saturday (just two hours after we checked in due to the delayed cleaning). We know this because the message was time stamped on the airbandb site.
Really disappointed in the experience that we had with this listing and host as well as the fabricated "details" of the review that they left for us. There seems to be a parallel between the misinformation that they provided about their listing and the above mentioned discrepancies in their account of our stay.
We have received positive feedback from all other hosts that we stayed with, the review left by Oceana Inn appears to be retaliatory in nature, and was left right after we submitted our review of the listing.
