Suzanne and Bruce made our stay in Hobart truly memorable. The private section of the house was more spacious than we expected and very tastefully furnished. We particularly liked the pleasant outlook to the garden courtyard. The location is fantastic - a short walking distance from the CBD, Battery Point etc. We can highly recommend Hobart Garden Studio.
Bruce and Suzanne's house was the perfect place to stay for our Hobart visit.
I was staying with a friend and it was no trouble for the spare bed to be made up. Everything was perfectly clean and super comfortable.
In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast in their beautiful kitchen and Suzanne was able to offer some suggestions on where to go and what to do.
Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and we would thourouhly recommend it to anyone.
The Studio was great! Very convenient location for exploring Hobart by foot and although Bruce was away, Suzanne was a great host.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the garden had an amazing spring smell, we didn't want to leave!
Staying in this garden studio was my first AirBnB experience, and I have brought my mom with me, we had absolutely AMAZING time over there and the whole experience was exceeded my expectation. Suzanne was super kind and friendly, the studio was super clean and cozy. We have our own access to the studio and we get to walk across the garden, absolutely 10 out of 10 experience. My mom have taken a lot photos of the gardens and we are definitely recommending everyone to be here.
Our first Air BnB experience! Accommodation was gorgeous..garden is very special. Unfortunately due to our schedule we only had limited interaction with Suzanne who was practical and helpful. This accommodation is fantastic value for money - very charming.
We had a great stay at Bruce and Suzanne's property during our time in Hobart. The room was private, well furnished and exactly as we expected. The tea, coffee and laundry facilities were a great bonus and Suzanne provided breakfast for us daily and plenty of tips on places to visit in Hobart. The house is lovely, and the garden is very beautiful. The location is perfect - very close to downtown Hobart, Battery Point and Salamanca place. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Thank you to Suzanne and Bruce.
I am so happy, and feel privileged, to have been able stay at Suzanne and Bruce’s beautiful home filled with art works, carefully chosen objects, furniture and books.
The house, perched on a hill, was fresh, light and airy with rooms providing spaces for privacy, or sharing, as desired. A lovely period home with sensitive newer additions.
My studio room had garden views, a separate sitting room, private toilet and shower, TV, tea/coffee, fridge and access to laundry facilities. I had everything I needed and my own key and was able to go in and out as I pleased without disturbing others.
The garden was beautiful and established with fragrant boronias and freesias, blossoms, hellebores, cyclamens in large crafted pots and orchids ready to burst. Some plants I remember from my grandmothers’ gardens: clematis, buddleia, waxflower. There were birds too, tiny silver eyes and giant bumble bees the size of half a thumb. Did I mention that the weather was perfect?
Suzanne was the best of hosts. I found her to be a kind and thoughtful person. She opened her home to me, but offered so much more. I enjoyed our walk along the creek and our conversations over the breakfast provided. Bruce was away, but he helped me with the one line process, and I was grateful, being a first timer with Airb&b.
I can’t believe everything was so easy. The airport shuttle bus has its depot just down the road. The Pigeon Hole, a Trip Advisor 2015 award winning eatery, filled will old wares, good coffee, bread and food made from local produce, is only a short walk away. Walk down the hill to the city and harbour, but catch the bus back at the corner of Liverpool and Murray—there is a timetable, a bit of a rarity in Hobart. The Shamrock, the best little traditional, ‘real pub’ in Tas with its $10 meals and Jake the bar tender, who doesn’t mind a chat about politics and ideas, is down Liverpool street too. I loved that pub ‘everyone’ was there—and I mean everyone.
I went to Hobart to see MONA, which was brilliant. David Walsh has done an extraordinary thing for the people of Tasmania (and the rest of us too). I met warm, interesting and opened hearted people everywhere I went. I wouldn’t change a thing. I am going back.
Lovely home and lovely garden.
we were made to feel very welcome, care was taken to assure we were comfortable.
Our puppy was welcomed also.
Although no kitchen facilities there was a microwave, chopping boards, knives/ cutlery and a kettle. Enough to make yourself an easy snack.
Central location with a great view.
We also arrived very late and our host stayed up to assure we could find the apartment ok.
Highly recommended for a central apartment.
This place was so lovely than I expected. Susan was so generous, welcomed me. We had a nice chat in the morning over the lovely breakfast.
The room has got all, I felt like I stayed at an entire home not a room. The bed was also very comfy and warm. I definitely would like to stay again if I come to Hobart next time.
Needless to say, I loved the garden a lot! ;)
I had a great time there. Bruce is a great host and he makes you feel very welcome. His house is very pretty and situated in a good location in Hobart. Would come back if I travel bsck to Hobart again.
