I am a lampshade maker and gallery manager at a small gallery specializing in handmade paper in Brooklin, ME. I also run my own business with my boyfriend designing and making contemporary lamps inspired by handmade paper and glassware. We are lucky to be the caretakers of a beautiful old farmhouse in Prospect Harbor, where we live and work while doing major renovations to the property. The owners have trusted us to bring it back to life after being vacant for over 12 years (its previous occupants being a family of racoons). I am an interior design enthusiast, and I love having the opportunity to gain hands on experience renovating a home, while being able to build our lamp design business in the garage/studio. An absolute dream come true. Not to mention the amazing view of the ocean!
We are headed to Brooklyn this June to go to our first Renegade Craft Fair to promote and sell our lamps. We are both very excited to go back to the city. I spent a semester at Pratt Institute a few years ago, and am looking forward to catching up with old friends, enjoying the city, and selling some lamps.
We are first time AirBnB-ers, love the concept, and will try our best to be great guests. Thanks!
