The host canceled my reservation the day before arrival.
The apt. is conveniently located; the bed is comfortable. Tina was very prompt in responding to our questions. We arrived late and had to go completely across town to pick up the key. The light in the bathroom was out, and since the apt. appeared to be lived in, it was difficult to know what we could use and what was personal eg hair dryer. The fridge was full of food. It was hot; when I asked, Tina said there was a.c. in the living room, but we couldn't find it and there were no instructions to help us. All that said, the apt, was more than adequate as a place to crash in between exploring the city.
Best location to deal with Columbia University matter.
Nice apartment. Quiet part of Upper West Side, close to subway. Would recommend it!
The apartment is very comfortable and located in a great spot. Amenities etc were excellent, although the microwave was currently out of order.
A great place, a great spot, and Tina is fantastic to deal with. There were no problems. I had a great time, and would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Tina is a fabulous host. The apt is nice, clean, comfortable, and quiet. I highly recommend her home!
I agree with all of the positive reviews below; couldn't have said it better myself. I rented the place for my mother and niece for their first trip to NY together, and it was just perfect. Mom said the bed was super comfortable, and the place was clean and cozy overall. Also very quiet at night, unlike many apartments in New York.
Most important for me, Tina was very responsive and professional; she answered my inquiries very quickly, and was very accommodating on "check-in" and "check-out."
Highly recommended -- thanks, Tina!
I had a WONDERFUL time in NYC while staying at Tina's apt for 3 nights. My sister lives near Tina and it was so great being able to stay in an apt in the neighborhood instead of in a hotel while I was visiting her.
Tina's apt is very convenient to...everything, for example: (1)Subway lines and bus routes on both Central Park West and Broadway can get you anywhere you need to go; and (2)awesome variety of excellent restaurants on Broadway & Amsterdam, including the best bagels in NYC - Absolute Bagels on Broadway (worth the wait in line on weekend mornings).
The apt is very roomy, nicely furnished and super clean. I didn't miss not having a TV especially since Tina's computer is great for streaming video and I was able to watch movies and TV.
Tina is very friendly and accommodating and flexible. I hope her apt is available next time I plan a trip to the city.
I have always been lazy about following up and posting reviews.
But Tina deserves mention.
The apartment is great. Very comfortable with all the tools we needed to cook with.
Great bed. Great bath. All in all the apartment that I would want to have in Manhattan. Simple, savvy & smart. The upper west side is a perfect home base.
Hands down, what we were impressed by most is how quiet it was.
Really quiet! We actually stayed in a lot more than expected. It was that comfortable.
Tina is a gracious host. Whenever I need a place in town I will be calling her first.
Tina was a lovely guest who was sociable, tidy and considerate. It was great having her around and sharing our various BnB experiences in Singapore and NYC. Highly recommend Tina if she requests to stay at your place;)
Tina was clean and considerate. We're glad this has been a fruitful trip for you Tina, see you around soon! :)
