Listing was as pictures, kept nice and tidy had everything I needed, or Richie would get me anything I needed. He was very welcoming and friendly and helped me settle in.
Richie was very polite, friendly, and welcoming. I am unfamiliar with London and thought he gave good directions to get to his place. His flat is extremely convenient to get to and centrally located. All the places i wanted to see were within walking distance or a short uber ride away. The room is small and cozy but it was perfect for my needs as I was out in the city for most of the day and was just looking for a place to crash and have Internet access. Price was right too.
Richie's place is in a fantastic location, close to many of London's famous attractions, theatres, shopping, and the tube. Definitely a 'one person' only space and a very warm room in the summer time. Unfortunately leaving the window open at night is not an option due to the excessive noise from the street below. But if you're looking for a short stay in a great location, this is the place.
I have little to add to the other reviews. Very central apartment, direct tube line from Heathrow with only a few meters to go from the from the final tube station to the apartment. Richie was very flexible, explained all I needed and wanted to know. You can't use the kitchen, but you have a fridge and a microwave but there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Richie’s apartment is the best place to start exploring London. Many cool sights (Covent Garden!) and pubs are within a 10minute walk. The next Underground stop is just 1 minute away. The room in Richie’s apartment is quite small but provides you with everything you need (bunk bed (yay!), fridge, TV, kettle with tea and coffee, electrical adapter for your electronic devices). Everything is clean and tidy.
This is my first time as an Air BNB guest; usually I am on the other side as a host. I visited London with my 12 year old son; his first international trip. First of all, our booking was extremely last minute, as our other plans cancelled 48 hours before our flight because the location had their ceiling fall in because of a water leak. Richie was so accommodating with the last minute booking and our early flight, and then getting to his flat late. I wanted so badly to make my son's first international trip a success and he helped make it so. Now details of the room and the location: The pictures and description accurately reflect the room (except Richie is not the one in his profile pic lol! Google him, he's an interesting guy!!) The location is great. Could not ask for better. Easy to get to and easy to get to all the major sights. The room was perfect for travelling with a child because of the bunk bed. There is some noise outside the window, but nothing you would not expect in the middle of a major world city. The bathroom is really clean. I don't know how many times the guy cleaned it but it was at least once a day I think! The grocery store across the street is very convenient too as you can just bring food back to the small refridgerator. If you're looking for a simple home base to visit London that is well located, this is a great place.
We had a pleasant stay at Richie's place. The location is perfect and he was very gentle with us (helped us with the luggage until the tube station). We're planning come back there (if possible) soon. Ultra recommended!
We stayed at Ritchie's for 2 nights. Location couldn't have been better. We literally walked everywhere. Great access to the tube and right across from Ritchie's place there is a great cafe " Holborn Grind" great for breakfast and super trendy at night with delicious drinks. The room/place wasn't as tidy as it looked in the pictures but since we were there just to sleep we didn't mind it so much.
The location of the room is good.
Richie is extremely welcoming, flexible and nice - we felt completely at home in his flat, and he really went out of his way to meet us in person, when we arrived. Nice beds, comfy room, not at all noisy compared to the fact that it is located right in the middle of London.
The location could not be better: Right next to a tube station with Central and Picadilly Lines and walking distance to Soho and Covent Garden - excactly what you need for a stay in London, and I would love to come back and stay the same place!
