Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and first experience with Airbnb.
Patrick left us some excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area and we were very happy with the dinner options we chose for both nights. He was also quick to communicate and provided useful information throughout the booking and arrival/check-in process.
The area is superb, not too touristy, but lots of hustle and bustle. We loved the balcony overlooking the street and really enjoyed feeling part of all the action even when we were resting up after 12 miles of walking and exploring the city. It's super close to the Louvre and Notre Dame, and it was an easy taxi ride to and from Gare du Nord. There's a metro station really close by too.
Fantastic location, very close to station and central Paris. Toilet is outside and not too inconvenient, however it is recommended that blinds should be changed as they don't close properly and it seems that people downstairs can see through the windows. Patrick is a good hosf and very reaponsive. Would recommend overall.
This place is literally steps away from the Chatelet metro---so this is good for easy access to the Metro, but bad in the sense that Chatelet is a CRAZY metro stop
The issue with this apartment is that you are literally right above 4 or 5 very popular night spots in Paris---by popular, I mean LOTS of people, LOTS of noise, and Parisians stay out late -- so light sleepers should take notice.
Also, there is no elevator, you have to drag your luggage up more than 50 stairs to get to the place
The location is good, walking to the seine is nothing--5 minutes----maybe 10, Notre Dame 15 minutes, the Louvre is less than a mile away. There is a decent grocery store close by
The issues with this apartment are (#1) the noise-- clubs below
and (#2) the 50 or more stairs
If those are not issues for you, then this is a good place
Very central, prefect location for short trips to Paris. The information we received beforehand were very helpful and everything worked out perfectly. The apartment was very clean and very good equipped. We just can recommend it!
Our last stop during our 3rd anniversary celebration was one which my wife and I will never forget, we stayed at Patrick's Notre-Dame & Louvre home. The quaint flat was located within a circle of walking and public transportation choices. All around were boutique dinning and shopping establishments that locals attended to daily, touristy is not how I would describe the home or area. Your home left us with many a fond memory and provided us with an authentic experience that we will remember forever. Thank you so much for making our anniversary one which we will never forget!
Omg! The location could not be better!!! I absolutely loved it! Ok apartment, a bit strange to have the toilet outside the room, but it worked out just fine! Will come back.
Never met Patrick during the stay, just picked up keys upon arrival and left them in the apartment upon departure. This was fine- more like a hotel than a B&B, but sometimes that's what you want.
The apartment was lovely- spacious, clean, lots of natural light. It could have easily accommodated 4 people, so there was plenty of room with just the two of us. The apartment is not handicap-friendly, as there are several flights of stairs to ascend as well as a sunken entryway. This made it difficult for my mom who uses a cane, though it was do-able.
The location was nice- close to everything via taxi, walking distance from a metro line and close to many great restaurants, bars and shops. I would definitely stay here again!
Patrick is an excellent communicator. He sent clear directions and followed up very soon afterward because I did not acknowledge receipt. He responded to my messages almost immediately.
The location of Patrick's flat is superb. It is just a few blocks to Notre Dame and about 6 blocks to the Louvre. We walked everywhere, including to the Eiffel Tower (but that might be a bit too far for some guests).
The flat is located in a vibrant neighbourhood full of cafés and restaurants. There is a pharmacy and grocery store about a minute away. We enjoyed just walking through the streets.
The flat was well-equipped. Also, we found a helpful folder of instructions and advice (e.g., restaurant locations and phone numbers).
The apartment was clean and nice, with fresh sheets and towels. The apartment was in the assigned neighborhood, which is really central with Marais around the corner which is full of nice cafés and restaurants. A very nice and smooth way of enjoying a weekend in Paris. Thank you for having us Patrick!
We spent two day's in Patrick's apartment and it was wonderful! The location is perfect and it is easy to navigate around the city from. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends. Thanks Patrick!
It was a pleasure to host Patrick's daughter Karine! She was sweet and very respectful of our place!
