Originally from Canada, I relocated to Europe a few years ago. My original plans were to study abroad in England, and one thing led to another, I find myself working in the Netherlands with a lovely Dutch boyfriend. Perhaps it was the travel bug, but I really enjoy living overseas and travelling to new places.
Being in my mid-twenties I have a fair share of experience living in different, let's say "interesting" locations with "interesting" people - e.g., dorms, hostels, camps, hotels, shared flats, etc. etc. From all this I can definitely say that I have acquired the skill of being a low-maintenance, agreeable, tidy and responsible housemate, guest, and/or tenant. I think Airbnb is great initiative making travelling a lot more affordable while offering the opportunity to get in touch with local cultures.
