My name is Rhys and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I have recently completed my Architecture degree and am using this milestone as a reason to go on an international adventure. From late February to mid April 2014, I will be touring both Japan and America in order to experience the architectural masterpieces, culture, food and entertainment these regions have to offer. Specifically, I will be travelling to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Nara in Japan, as well as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington and New York in America. I can't wait!
I am quite easy going, down to earth and polite with good values and travel intentions. As I will be embarking on this trip by myself, I don't plan on having excessively late nights or allowing my wariness to be impaired by alcohol. I will genuinely be appreciative of anyone who allows me into their home and helps me in my travels.
This trip will indeed be my first experience with AirBnB, but I am definitely optimistic that my experiences will be positive. I am also hoping my neatness and organisation will help any potential host in making my stay as seamless as possible.
I am really looking forward to meeting the locals in all the areas I'll be visiting as well as making some great friends along the way. In other words, while the majority of my trip will be spent out and about, I will always leave time to properly introduce myself to and get to know my host/s.
My background in travel so far has been limited to other parts of Asia (Dalian, Xian, Beijing, Macau, Zhuhai and Hong Kong), my favourite of which would either be Dalian or Hong Kong. I am sincerely looking forward to broadening my travel experiences.
On a more personal note, some of my other hobbies include music (I sing, play the piano and am learning the cello), TV & Film, mixology, language learning, art, and fine dining.
I hope to hear from you soon!
