I'm a writer who lives in, and loves, Portland, Oregon, USA. I was born and raised in New York City, and have come to appreciate the wild excitement and endless adventure of the West Coast. I was raised in the big city, but, my heart belongs to nature. I'm an avid reader, skilled baker, lover of all things culinary, hiker, banjo player, cat lover, and yoga enthusiast. In Oregon, you'll most likely find me in my living room practicing banjo, in a park reading, dining out with friends, or taking advantage of the natural beauty that the Pacific Northwest has to offer in abundance. I'm ready for adventure, good conversation, and to take in the sights and souls that this fabulous planet has to offer. I recently embarked on a new phase in my life, and am looking to seize the moment at every chance I get!
5 Things I Can't Live Without:
Pie (preferably Apple or Strawberry Rhubarb)
The Columbia River Gorge
Ireland (always and forever)
My taste in music and literature is very eclectic. My reading queue and music playlists are a hodge-podge collection for sure! I love when friends recommend new books or CDs. I'm currently finishing up Jose Saramago's novel, The Gospel According to Jesus Christ and my iPod is cued up with Irish tunes from Lunasa.
My traveling style is relaxed with a plan. I like to have an outline to adhere to, but, I'm easily distracted, so, I build distraction into the experience. I find it's always the little, unexpected stops that yield those special, memorable, experiences that live with you forever. I'm quiet and courteous, but, if you've got the time and inclination, I love a good chat, academic, artsy, spiritual, or otherwise!
