I got in touch with airbnb right away to let them know because I thought they had an insurance policy against money being taken, but it turns out they don't and we lost the $120 that was taken. And I definitely would have told you while we were there except that we checked our wallet for the first time as we were walking out of the villa to get a tip for the staff carrying our bags, so it was too late. And I thought long and hard about writing you about it, but didn't want you to feel like I was extorting you, and also didn't want to be convinced to not write about what happened because of a conversation we had before posting my review. The airbnb community relies on honest feedback to make informed choices about where to stay. We really did have a wonderful time at your villa but the money stealing did happen, and I have no doubt you are typically the one trying to return lost things to your guests. I think my review was overall very fair and the majority of it was good. And if other people's experiences were as good as ours was in general, then our review should get buried in purely positive reviews as it should.
