The location is great - very centrally located and close to both the old city, Machneyehuda market, etc.
Furthermore, the small apartment has everything you need, in terms of a bed, refrigerator, etc.
However, there are two main drawbacks:
- The bed is unfortunately not very comfortable to share for two people, unless you are very fond of each other :-) If one person moves, the other person will feel it immediately
- The wall that separates the airbnb apartment from Ida's part of the house is very thin, so you will be able to hear the dogs, people talking, etc., very easily from the bedroom
I'm very happy that I found Ida and Motti and their house on Airbnb! I can recommend to everybody, who wants to have a good and interesting time in Jerusalem to book the 2 rooms in their lovely old and centrally located house. Ida and Motti have been wonderful hosts and we spent a lot of time just sitting and discussing. The 2 dogs are very cute and well educated. We had a great evening with cooking and eating all together and I spent one of my most amazing New Years evenings at a magic place with a special atmosphere looking all over the town having Champagne and russian bread with caviar, a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you very much and whenever you will come to the Rheinmain-area I hope to see you.
Ida was really wonderful in many aspects. The room is very nice and quiet. The location is very central which makes it easy to walk to the Old City, Jaffa Rd, The big market and everywhere really.
Thiis a really good place with much consideration from hosts. I highly recommend it and actually can't wait to go back hopefully one day soon. This is now "home away from home".
Thanks dear Ida and Motti. I will always remember you xxx
I was in Israel to promote cycling between Israel and Palestine and found this great place in the centre of Jerusalem, facing a park. Hosts Ida and Motti were very welcoming and entertaining. They have a very special location, and the house itself was clean and neat. The sleeping area is a separate wing, so there is a good sense of privacy. The bathroom and shower were spotless, and there was lots of hot water! Their 2 dogs were really mellow and friendly. I used Ida and Motti's as a base to travel around for 6 days, and with keys in hand, coming and going was super smooth. On my final day, I was introduced to guests who had stayed there before, and who we're going to stay there again. We all shared stories, Vodka, and a delicious home-made stew. I hesitate to mention Motti's schnitzel, as its easy to eat many once you taste it. These, of course were extra perks, not to be taken for granted, but examples of how they went out of their way to ensure I had a great and delicious experience.
Ida, Mottie and the dogs are very nice and friendly. The place is very nice and very clean. The location is great - very central and yet quite with country-like qualities. A perfect location for Jerusalem tour!
Very good sleeping quarters
Slept like a baby, great bed ,
Country concept kitchen, open space studio.
Good conversation with the hosts, especially the arts.
The house is hugging the park and close to everything.
And the home made tour, can't forget the home made tour to areas that are under the radar of tour guides if you care to accompany Ida and the ladies( the two very likeable dogs)
For there walk in the evening
Our stay with Ida, Motti and the dogs in their beautiful house was just wonderful! We couldn't have asked for more.
Thank you so much, Ida! Hope to see you in Berlin one day...
Ida and Motti are welcoming and very relaxed. We went out for some drinks and got the chance to explore Jerusalem from another perspective. The dogs are well behaved. The location is perfect. An easy stroll (5-10 minutes) to the Old City and also very close to the light rail station if you need to travel elsewhere (only four stations away from the central bus station). Big thanks to Ida and Motti for an awesome stay!
Ida and Motti are very nice hosts, and they have too friendly dogs. The house is amazing and the room beautiful. In the evening we joined Ida for walking the dogs and experienced some special places in Jerusalem. Thanks for everything.
Everything was super. The room(s) big - Ida and Matti super nice - the location perfect. We can just recommend this place!
Hospitality is the key-word when you ask me how I got to know Ida. On a snowy day (yes, there are days like this even in israel) I found my self in her jerusalemite kitchen, eating a homemade Russland soup with a middle eastern twist. Half an hour later I was sitting in Idas studio, watching her doing art, discussing everything and nothing at the same time. Other guys came in and joined, the dog between and with us. As soon as my brain defrosted I understood: this is a warm and open house with a lot of spirit. So I stayed. For quite long. And came back. Quite often.
