My husband and I stayed at Jen and Alex' apartment for 4 nights while visiting our son. They could have not been more welcoming. As Jen was at work Alex met us and showed us around the apartment. She sat with us and wrote out instructions to use the public transportation system which is easily accessible from the apartment -- about a 10 minute walk to a bus or the "L". Lincoln Square is within a 10 to 15 minute walk and provides one with a variety of stores and restauraunts. The apartment is just as seen in the pictures in the listing. It is warm and homelike. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Jen and Alex and would reccomend them to anyone. Their 2 cats provided great entertainment.
the couldn't have been better, from getting directions to the right el, finding a cab to the airport, locating a good restaurant in the neighborhood, providing thought-provoking conversation. they're exactly what this share economy should be about.
This was our first time using Airbnb, so we were pretty nervous, but Jen and Alex made our stay very comfortable.
They were very generous and accommodating, yet respectful of our privacy when we wanted to just rest a bit. The apartment is nice...in a good neighborhood with a short walk to the Brown Line. Plus, the cats were so cute and funny!
We had a great stay at Alex and Jen's apartment! They were very nice and accommodating. The apartment was beautiful, and the bed was super comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer!
We absolutely LOVED staying with Jen and Alex! They warm and hospitable and made our stay very comfortable. We wish we were able to spend more time with them. Their book selection is fabulous!
Had a great time with Jen and Alex. They were really great hosts, very hospitable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again. My wife and I felt very comfortable and loved their 2 sweet cats. We spent most of our time exploring the city but were fortunate enough to converse with both of them one evening. Great girls! Your search should end here, stay with them you won't regret it.
We had a great stay at Jen's and Alex' house! It's nicely located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with red brick buildings and the Brown Line Train very nearby. Jen was very welcoming, gave us tuns of tips on nice neighborhoods to visit and places to eat. And the appartment is spacious with an impressive bookshelf. In short: We felt very welcome and I would recommend staying at Jen's and Alex's to anyone!
Jen and Alex were amazing hosts--very accommodating and helpful. They have wonderful taste. Displaying an incredible collection of books, their home is as artistically decorated as it is comfortable. Jen and Alex's two wonderful cats are affectionate and are bound to steal your heart as soon as you walk through the door. Their restaurant and nightlife recommendations hit the spot!
Short but very enjoyable stay. Didn't get to meet Jen, but her roommate Alex was welcoming and helpful. Also fun to talk to, and has a great laugh. The room is nice, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept well. The cats are hilarious. Wifi works great. Short walk to Lincoln square and lots of good eating. I'd stay here again for sure, especially if I needed to be in this corner of Chicago.
All was great.
Jen and Ursula were great guests. They left my place clean and they were easy to communicate with.
Jen was an excellent guest! Highly recommended. Didn't get to meet, unfortunately, but they left our place neat and tidy after their stay.
Jen is a lovely human being. She's kind, smart, creative and fun. If you want to be alone when you stay with her, I know she'll respect that. But I, personally, wouldn't miss out on at least a little conversation with this awesome woman!
Jen is great and helpful and would be an amazing host. You can trust Jen to know great things happening in Chicago- she'll either point you the right direction or she is a great person to hang out with (even if you are a stranger at first). I would not hesitate to send someone to stay with Jen unless they were a hateful unfriendly person. Those people should not rent a room from Jen.
