We stayed at The Hideaway (the lower level) and it was perfect for the two of us. It's a cozy place with loads of charm and is within easy walking distance of galleries and places to eat in Jerome. The outdoor shower looked really great but we weren't brave enough to try it in the cold. We didn't actually meet Wendy, but she was quick to answer our questions and gave us some really useful recommendations for things to see and do. The only disappointment was that the wi-fi went out, but we coped. We'd stay there again!
The Miners Cottage was even more than we imagined from the pictures and reviews! It was like a Hobbit house withe rich wood floor and walls and stonework with nooks for little treasures. The fireplace was wonderful because the weather was chilly. It had everything we needed including a mini fridge and coffee station. (If you want cream for your coffee buy it in Cottonwood before driving up the hill) Location was perfect! Step outside the door and you're on main street Jerome with delicious restaurants and fun shops. Try the breakfast at Flatiron grill and the burgers at the Haunted hamburger. And definitely do the outdoor shower! It was 29 outside and the shower was hot with blue sky overhead. It was exciting and a great way to start the day.
we love the adventure and uniqueness of the places we've found on airbnb. Hotels just don't have a lot of charm.
I hope you will come to my schoolhouse when I'm done Clarissa. Sure to be an adventure!

Wendy was responsive within two hours for a last minute reservation and was easily available throughout. She put us up in her other property, a wood beamed home with jacuzzis, a hot tub, and a full kitchen, fireplaces everywhere, and large luxurious beds. It was a decadent wonderful, weekend!
What a fantastic place - a travel back in time with this charming cottage apartment in the heart of Jerome, overlooking the mountains. Wendy was very welcoming and friendly - guiding me to the good places in both Jerome and Sedona.
My pleasure to have marcelle ! Come back soon!
We enjoyed our stay at Wendy's and in Jerome! This cottage is well located, within walking distance to all of Jerome's restaurants, art galleries, and shops. We love the yard and outdoor sitting areas. The room was well furnished with all the necessities and the outdoor shower area was pretty neat, although I must say I didn't partake. :) Thanks for a great stay!
Sweet and beautiful, glad you enjoyed yourself!
We upgraded to the Artist Lookout and it was incredible. It had a full kitchen and really was furnished with an eye towards an old-time miner's residence. I can't say enough about the view and the charm of the place. Also, we ended up talking to Wendy a bit and we've made a friend. She was a generous and truly gracious host. Thank you so much Wendy and we'll back back!
What a special find! The pictures don't do this place justice. The historic cottage is gorgeously decorated and includes every imaginable amenity. The space was filled with light and peace and is perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Very romantic and right in the heart of Jerome with beautiful views overlooking the hills below. The gardens were filled with special nooks and crannies to relax and enjoy; everything was super cool and perfect. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Jerome! Wendy was a gracious and lovely host and I would highly recommend her amazing cottage.
