Hi to you all,
We gladly open our beautiful Cottage in Guidaloca Bay, near Scopello.
Hope you will enjoy it - we love it!
All the best,
Linda & Daniel
We had a wonderful stay at this very nice house. It is very quiet and close to Scopello and Castellamare, but you will need a car to get around. Access to the sea is nearby, but if you travel a bit further you can find nice beaches in the Zingaro park. The place has a nice terrace, and the kitchen has all you need. There is also AC. Linda's aunt (who lives opposite the house) showed us the place and was very friendly and left us to our privacy. We very much enjoyed our stay over here.
There is a dive ctr in Scopello, but we drove to S. Vito Lo Capo, where we found an excellent dive center 'Sea Diver'.
After arriving we got a very pleasant welcome from Linda and her parents, who speak English and French fluent and are the best hosts you could wish for. We totally enjoyed 7 nights in a perfectly stuffed apartment, which is located the backyard of linda's charming family and surrounded by olive & fruit trees. The apartment is very clean, fully furnitured and you will find everything for a comfort life there.
The Location is great! You can enjoy silence and privacy at the apartment or the private terrace, but everything you need is close by and in Castellammare del Golfo you’ll find many restaurants, markets, bars and most of all a beautiful beach with yellow sand and azure blue water. Anyway renting a car is recommended otherwise it will be more challenging to get from place to place.
The communication with Linda and her parents was very fiendly, fast and easy and that was a great help for our first visit in Sicily! They made us feel welcome from the first meeting and made sure we were happy! They were available to help us with any questions we had and shared her local knowledge with us on where to go and how to make the most of our time in Castellammare del Golfo.
I'm sure you will enjoy the same experience!
Many thanks to you Linda! Please send our best wishes and warm regards to your charming family and all the pets we loved to share our holidays with.
The views from the terrace are fantastic! The place is spacious and has all the necessary amenities we needed. Our "apartment" was the first floor of the family home and had its own entrance. The family and pets were friendly and lived downstairs.
We were quite surprised though to find out internet was only available downstairs - we ended up sitting on the stairs most nights to try and get signal!
When leaving the house we realised our door/ entrance couldn't be locked, which was quite worrying and we could only take Linda's word for it that the neighbourhood was safe.
We drove and part of the reason for choosing this place was the free parking onsite but this was based on access through the main gates - we didn't have the keys and were asked to get the family downstairs to open it for us on a daily basis. Not very convenient and when we came home at 11.30pm we did try but nobody responded so we had to leave the car outside. Again, Linda assured us it was safe, which it turned out to be, but we needed peace of mind.
There was also a thunderstorm when we arrived which meant both water and electricity got cut off. Not Linda's fault at all but we didn't know what to expect. And didn't know if anything was fixed until we arrived home late that evening to find out for ourselves.
Linda was very friendly. The apartment was nice and tidy, you have a great view and the clean beach is nearby in a 2min ride by car. Highly recommend this place!
Zio Cocoò's house is functional, simple and clean, with a beautiful terrace over olive trees, the bay and the sea. The place is as it is shown in the pictures, and, maybe because it's close to the sea, is pleasantly quiet and fresh during the night. Linda's uncle and aunt were welcoming hosts, who met us and drove us to the place. The fact that the house is located in their property, and that we could park the car just by the house was particularly convenient!
We had a wonderful stay at Zio Coco's house...The view is just amazing, sitting outside having a coffee or a wine, surrounded by olive trees and pears. The beach is just 300 m down the hill, with crystal clear water.
The house is perfectly stuffed with everything you need to prepare breakfast or dinner. If you rent a car you should visit Scopello in the evening and have some seafood in one of the cosy restaurants.
Besides that all: Linda and her family are perfect hosts: They take care are sooo nice and pleasant people.
Grazie Mille e ci vediamo!!
We got a very warm welcome from Linda and her family! It was a wonderful beginning of a wonderful vacation in Sicily. First of all the communication with Linda was very fast and easy and that was a great help for our spontaneous vacation!
The house is located between Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo in the backyard of linda's super nice family. The view from the house is beautiful! You can watch the blue sea and lots of olive trees. In the yard of the house there are fruit trees and herbs. The terrace is private and facing east, what made it our favorite spot for our morning coffee in the warming sun. Whatever was missing in the house that we needed, Linda took care of it immediatly. We rent a scooter and it was great fun to travel with it to the village, town or to the beautiful nature resort that you must visit - Zingaro. Anyway you should rent a car or scooter otherwise it will be more challenging to get from place to place. Thank you Linda for your warm hospitalety and send our warm regards to the rest of your charming family.
Linda welcomed us so pleasantly and we spent two very nice days in the house... and on the wonderful terrace ! Scoppelo is a wonderfull place to discover. Thank you very much !
