John was there to greet us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed to begin our stay. He lives in the building and was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. He also provided a booklet of information about the wifi, the trash, the maid service, etc. We felt very welcome and loved the apartment and the neighborhood which was a short walk from a great beach with a wonderful beach bar/restaurant. We were a 10-15 minute walk from the Malicon and a short walk from a large supermarket. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. When our coffee maker wasn't working properly, John replaced it immediately. We enjoyed going to a rooftop restaurant, La Traviata just a block down the hill that has a great view of the bay and a happy hour from 5-7. This is a great apartment that easily accommodates 4 people and is charming and well appointed. We loved staying at Casita Gianni and hope to return again soon.
We loved staying with John at Casita Diego. Affordable, clean, safe, spacious, colorful Mexican vibe, and very accommodating. Not only was the place great but the location was also perfect for us. It's about 4 blocks from the beach and the majority of the tourist stuff, so you still feel a bit removed from the tourist scene and feel like your getting an authentic Mexican experience. But you can still be at the beach, and the malecon in a few minutes.
John's place also has several apartments close together, so it would be ideal for friends or family that want to be close but have their own space. We're planning on coming back every year and staying with John, hopefully with some friends or family next time.
Great place, awesome host. Make sure you use the pool outside around the corner. John was really helpful and welcoming and we had an amazing time! Really close to the board walk and lots of bars and places to eat. Don't let the walk up the hill scare you off, it's short and easy! Thanks John! We will definitely be back
This February was my second time renting from Airbnb and I must say iv had nothing but grate experiences throughout my stay in PV. let me first start off by saying that the pictures in the photo did not do this house justice, because the house was amazingly big nice and clean. the only downfall would be that it lacks privacy due to the fact that there are open windows and the balcony is open. another thing that I strongly suggest is buying mosquito repellent on the first day of your stay!!! The mosquitoes were blood thirsty !!. Also bring your own towels and grooming and hygiene supplies as the house is not equipped with these essentials. Other than that the house fit all of my needs for my stay. there's a little walk up at cobblestone hill which was not too bad and the condo is located only a few blocks from the Malecon and is a very convenient place to stay for the price. John was very helpful and respectful and lives in the building so if anything is needed he's there for your assistance.
This was our second time staying at one of john's places and everything was perfect. He's a great host and the casitas are clean, safe and comfortable. We love the location in vallarta - great neighborhood. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at Casita Bobo! The apartment was clean, bright, spacious and nicely decorated too. You can watch the sun set on the ocean from the living room or private roof terrace after a hard day at the beach. Grab breakfast on the way to the beach and tacos from the numerous taco stands on the walk home. Corner store, pharmacy, grocery, bus stop, it's all really near the apartment. John was truly an amazing host! He was quick on replies and was very accomodating. We felt at home right away. Probably my best Airbnb experience so far. I would totally stay there again.
I truly enjoyed staying in Casita Diego. I loved going down the beautiful stairs leading to the casita, loved sitting in the one-of-a-kind beautiful kitchen or looking up from the balcony at the suspended from the bridge metal fish. In one word the complex of four casitas is a delight to the eye.
I also liked the neighborhood with tacos for 5 pesos on Calle Handuras, just two blocks down from the house, the proximity to the beach (10 minutes walk); about 20 minutes walk to the crowded tourist area. I like walking, so getting up the hill to the casita was just a bit of an exercise, which I needed anyway.
John was always on site and if I asked a question he would answer in no time. He even apologized for the weather, which was very sweet. John is a caring host so I would gladly come back and stay there again.
I very much enjoyed my whole experience in staying at Casa Enrique and in dealing with John as a host. The studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay and it was great to have the ability to cook to save money rather than eating out. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk to the Malecon, shops, grocery store and restaurants but not too noisy at night.
John was very friendly and always quick to respond. Once when I had a question about how something worked there was someone at the door within 10 minutes to help me out.
Nathalie
Thank you for being responsive to all of our needs.
