This was a great space for my husband and I. A little removed from the city centre but the quiet and quaint neighborhood was a good trade off. Very clean, nicely maintained, and the jacuzzi tub was a welcome sight after a day of walking Dublin.
The flat was nice and clean. Everything we needed was provided and Eillen just told us to ask, if we need anthing else. The location of the flat was perfect: calm and just a 25 minute walk from temple bar. We really enjoyed staying there.
This was a wonderful place to stay. It is even bigger than it looks in the pictures (a big living area with high ceilings, and there is a little hallway attaching the bedroom and bathroom). We found this place to be a very nice refuge after long days in and around Dublin, an we cooked and did laundry without any problem as the apartment was well-equipped with cooking and cleaning supplies. Very nice place and would highly recommend-it definitely felt like you were in your own apartment. We didn't see the hosts too often, who were very kind, but when we saw Eileen's husband as we were carrying out the trash one day, he said not to bother and just to leave it at the bottom of the stairs. Because this area is in the north, it is a wee bit rough around the edges, but my mother-in-law and I still felt completely comfortable, even walking around in the evening. It was easy to walk to the city center and the wonderful botanical gardens too (which has a very nice restaurant). Stay here!!!
Response from Eileen:
Thanks, Jean, for you very kind words. It was a pleasure to host you and your mother-in-law!
The flat was very nice, clean and spacious. Though it is not in the most touristy neighbourhood of Dublin, it is nevertheless within easy walking distance.
Eileen is very quick to respond to emails or texts, which is very convenient!
L'appartement est agréable, propre et spacieux. Même s'il n'est pas dans le centre même de Dublin, il en est néanmoins facile d'accès à pied. Eileen est très réactive pour répondre aux courriels ou textos, ce qui peut s'avérer pratique!
We had a great time at Eileen's place. Her apartment is rather big, fully equipped and was thoroughly clean.
She was very helpful for everything we needed. She provided us with fresh towels, clothes lines and helped us with the washing machine. Communication was fast and efficient.
We like to cook on the apartment, and the kitchen was well equipped.
It's a 25 minute walk to downtown. Alternatively, you can get basically any bus on Phisborough Rd to downtown. A big grocery shop can also be found on Phisborough Rd.
This is a very nice, clean, and quiet space. Great location and only about a twenty five minute walk into central Dublin. It's a short trek to the botanical gardens, which are also well worth a visit.
Eileen was very gracious and was able to give us street parking passes, which was fantastic. Thank you again for a lovely stay!
We just spent a great weekend at Eileen's flat, which was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The check-in and check-out times were flexible, which made planning our trip much easier. Many thanks to Eileen and Tony for making us feel welcome!
Eileen welcomed us for a long weekend in the apartment. She was very responsive and helpful already in our e-mail communication upfront and very kind at arrival. She gave us goos good recommendations for the area and how to get around. The check-in was very flexible and easy.
The apartment offers everything you need. Althoug we did not cook ourselves, the kitchen is fully equiped and Eileen was so kind to leave fresh milk, orange juice, coffee, tea and all the basic things you need for cooking in the kitchen. We got fresh towels and bed linen and Eileen even changed the towels for us after one night. The shower was perfect and although there was no hairdryer in the beginning, Eileen immediately provided us with one. Very kind.
The apartment is in the middle of a residental area, very quiet and save. A Tesco supermarket, some restaurants, take aways and small shops are in very close walking distance. We can recommend the café/bistro Woodstock which is a nice place to get something to eat, either in the afternoon or for dinner.
You can easily catch a bus or cab to get to the city center. We always walked to O'Connell Street which takes about 25 minutes. If yout wanna be at the outer bound of the rush and stress of city center Dublin, you are well located in this area.
Thanks very much Eileen, it was a pleasure to meeting you.
Stayed in Eileen's flat last weekend. She was very accommodating to my boyfriend and I as we arrived into Dublin at 7am on Sat morn. The flat is perfect for a weekend stay, plenty of space for two and appears to be newly furnished. Also a bus stop very close to take you to town. Could easily have stayed in and cooked there as had all the facilities and a nice big T.V. Would highly recommend it as a place to stay.
