I've lived on Maui for 8 years. I lived in Denver Colorado for 7 years before that. I have a little boy who is my entire world. We rent out our spare room so we can survive on this fun island :)
We had great conversations during our stay with Cheyni which led to great experiences on Maui. She and others in the house were friendly and knowledgeable about various sites on the island that were not in our guidebooks. We are thankful for that because our experiences in Maui were marvelous.
The location in Haiku was good, especially if one was interested in the Hana Highway. We were able to experience the joys of driving on this road twice. It also prepared us for the drive through the clouds to the Haleakalā crater, which was glorious on the day we were there. Our days on Maui will be unforgettable and our stay with Cheyni contributed to that. Thanks.
Cheyni is a real sweetheart enjoyed my stay left there feeling they were family
My husband & I enjoyed Cheyni's warm easy-going hospitality. The kitchen was nicely equipped & the room was roomy enough for our stuff. We enjoyed the quiet country-like space, very close to the local grocery store & restaurant & just a short drive to the beach. We'd definitely stay again & longer.
This was a true Hawaiian experience, out in the country with tropical rain and the breeze blowing through the louvered windows. Cheyni and her family provide a peaceful and friendly environment. The room was as advertised. The bed was comfortable. There were 2 sets of clean towels waiting for us on the foot of the bed. 4 pillows for 2 people (I love extra pillows). We made good use of the extra fridge.
The room was great!! Cheyni is a gracious and personable host that fits Maui to a tee. I would without a doubt stay here again.
Had an amazing stay with Cheyni! She treated us like old friends and we had friendly conversation. Wished we could of met her son, but we were in and out often, maybe next time! Clean room with a nice breeze flowing from the trees, it was soothing and refreshing to hear the toads, birds and crickets lulling me to sleep. Cheyni was a fantastic host and would highly recommend staying with her!
Staying in Cheyni's house was wonderful. The room itself is very cosy and so quiet!!! I slept like a baby. Kitchen, bath room and all other facilities very perfect and clean. I can truly recommend to stay at this place. Also Cheyni is a great person who was allways helpful and fun to talk with. Thanks again!!!
Cheyni was very nice and friendly she provide us with everything we needed. Her place is very nice quite. The room was very clean and neat. We didnt see her much but she made herself available by phone if we needed anything. Location was great for experiencing all sides of the island I would defiantly stay here again and recommend her place.
Cheyni was a great host. She was there to welcome us and made sure we had everything we needed. Her house is a perfect starting location for a Hana road trip.
It was great having Cheyni! She and her son, Micah, were great. As a host, I couldn't ask for a better guest (they are also AirBnB hosts so they have a good feeling for both sides of the process)! I would be happy to have her (and her son) back any time.
