Was will man mehr??
Muy bonito apartamento y en un lugar privilegiado de Valencia. La organización muy buena. Lo recomiendo 100%
Two of us stayed in this apartment for 3 nights.
I asked a few questions pre visit, eg if towels supplied?( they are) nearness to train station they were not answered but our host turned up on time, was really pleasant and helpful then.
I think the photographs and description give the impression that the flat is nicer than it actually is.
The main bedroom certainly is very good with a smashing wardrobe and great space and bathroom also. My friend found the bed very hard! But she def. had the better room.
Second bedroom I found basic and although I loved the area and took it on the chin, the noise, despite double glazing , really prevented any sleep until 5am just as it's located in old town with many bars restaurants , ( new veg. restaurant right next door with lovely menu) seating areas near by.....all lovely atmosphere, non threatening, families etc.....but still sleep needed! And very noisy on weekend particularly.
The lounge looks rather worn, with some marked, chipped paint, much smaller than I had thought from image. Could not go on veranda as small and items on it but doors open to it. Lounge lacked comfort as rug had gone, the one sofa/ cushions rather marked and so covered. So for 2 of us we felt value not so good and not so 'beautiful' and if a few people had stayed I think more seating area is needed....pics on wall a very strange combination . kitchen/ equipment small but fine, plenty hot water. We had an issue with drainage smells that was dealt with immediately. Thanks.
We were shown flexibility with our leaving time, many thanks again.
Location was great and we fell totally in love with this city. Easy to walk to see most of Old Valencia, also easy from the train station, to the Carmen area which had some really interesting shops, character, churches, an exhibition of figures etc used in the festival. Would recommend it's location for good access generally.Glad we did the tourist bus, relaxing and can do both routes.....the space age science area may be controversial for costs involved but very impressive.
Good 'vintage' shops too with great character and some decent items. Nice bars, stunning churches, busy, lively, loved the city.
Wij, vier vriendinnen, hebben vier heerlijke dagen in Valencia doorgebracht. Het appartement is in het oude, gezellige centrum. Verhuurder Natalia was vriendelijk en nam de tijd om tips te geven.
There was a few hour delay getting into the apartment at check-in time, but I accept this as the nature of Airbnb itself as opposed to traditional hotels (i.e. there is no receptionist always around or other rooms available if yours is not ready). Our host was in contact with us during this time and did their best at making sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Luckily it was a sunny afternoon so we passed the time enjoyably at some of the many nearby tapas bars.
The apartment itself is very spacious and well equipped. It feels modern and likely recently renovated, but with some character such as the exposed wood beams in the ceiling. You only have to open one of the three sets of balcony doors to let in the real charm of the neighbourhood. The bedroom balcony has an exceptional view of the old city. The view from the other side--the living room balcony--should improve once the major renovations to the building across the street complete. All the modern conveniences are available to you (excluding a dishwasher and clothes dryer--not very common in Spain, we've learned), but a few beyond expectation as well such as an iPod speaker dock and multi-headed shower.
There is unfortunately no lift to the apartment, so the 74 stairs you have to take up and down could be impossible for someone with mobility issues, but not a problem for an active couple. The outside door leads into a quiet street/alley with a bar and a restaurant immediately available, and within half a block your are in the middle of the busiest district in the old town. Half our stay was during Las Fallas and it was the perfect location for us.
My one tip for future guests is to be aware that a lot of local signage is in Catalan, not Spanish, including on (website hidden) Maps. Perhaps this is obvious, but it took me a while to figure out the provided address of Calle Baja (Spanish) was written on local street signs (and in (website hidden) Maps) as Carrer de Baix (Catalan). It was easy to find after that revelation.
Overall I'm very happy with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this area.
appartement très bien situé dans le centre historique de valence
petits commerces de proximités
bars au rez de chaussée sur la petite place
très bon rapport qualité - prix
This was a spacious apartment in a great location (in the old city but close to the riverbed park -- we walked everywhere for 3 days). Everything was clean, worked well and was of good quality. It was also aesthetically appealing, with great natural light in the front rooms and very high ceilings.
The apartment worked very well for us (family of 4 visiting Valencia for 3 nights), and it would've been roomy enough even if we'd had another 2 people with us.
It wasn't perfect -- there is no true "master" bedroom with attached bathroom, and in the front bedroom there is a fair amount of noise from the building's hallway/stairwell. Also, I wouldn't recommend it for someone who wanted to cook dinner for a group of people, as the "dining table" seats 4 and is in the middle of the TV room, and the kitchen wasn't equipped with much cookware (only a few place settings and not much cookware -- including no corkscrew). Also, there was no drying rack -- and since there is a washer but no dryer, it really should've had a drying rack.
However, if you are going to just have breakfast plus a bit of takeout food in the apartment, as we did, the kitchen will be fine. The bathroom and the half-bath were good, the wi-fi was good, the heat/air-conditioning units were good, the washing machine was good, the beds were good, the building and the apartment seemed safe and it was clean and comfortable. The price was also fair.
Bottom line: this isn't a super-luxury apartment, but at the price it's a good value, and it was a fine, comfortable place, in a great part of the city, for our family for a visit to Valencia.
Such a cool property! Located in the heart of valencia this place has so much charm!
