This was a great little place to stay. The neighbourhood is quite residential but only a short walk from the train stop. I quite enjoyed staying in this area. The apartment was small had fast hot water and a pokey balcony and quite affordable. It is good for a couple or single traveller.
Lauren was a great host. Good communication. The apartment was easy to find and in a nice, quiet part of town. Very conveniently located near a metro station. Comfortable bed, good shower, fast internet, and pocket wifi. What more can you ask for? The only thing I would say is that I would recommend this apartment for 1 person only.
My stay at Lauren's place was extremely pleasant.
The location is superb and within a very comfortable walking distance from the station.
It has every necessity you can think of. The pocket wifi is extremely useful and very fast.
It's a great place to stay for anyone wanting a central and quiet neighbourhood at night too.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo and I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in Japan.
Lauren was a lovely host and let us stay in spite of my last minute request. She replies promptly which made for a care-free and enjoyable stay. The room was clean and the futon was already set up next to the bed when we arrived. The house is in a peaceful neighbourhood and just a 15 min walk to the station (with some nice shops to look at on the way - we loved the takoyaki stall). I definitely recommend Lauren's place if you're looking for something private and simple.
Lauren was very polite and helpful. The room was also easy convenience also good use. Nearby enjoyed There are plenty of stylish restaurants.
Lovely modern apartment with instant hot water and AC, next to subway station, 1 stop from Shibuya. suits 4-5, 6 at a pinch (2 doubles, 1 single and a sofa bed). Supermarket 5min walk but one that sells western breakfast cereal 25 minutes (Peacock Dainkanyama). Lauren provided laundry powder and toiletries but bring a travel iron if you need one. Restaurants; French - Bistro Lyon (2 mins), Kan (excellent Japanese Sushi, no English menu) 7 minutes, Italian Bella Figlia (good sauces, bought pasta) and plenty of others we didn't try. Run, walk along the cherry tree lined "canal" 5 minutes away. Excellent stay
it was a very good stay in this appartment. It is about ten-fifteen minutes walk to Gakugei daigaku station which is close to Naka Meguro (a nice area as well as Gakugei daigaku) and to Shibuya (it depends on the train but you can be there in 20 min from the flat). You can also quickly go to Shinjuku Sanchome for shopping or drinks as the metro line change into another one and you don't have to get out of the train. You can also stop next to Harajuku and Omotesando. So my point is the flat is pretty close from the very center of Tokyo.
The appartment was comfy for one person, the wifi and washing machine are useful. The area is very quiet too. Lauren's time of response was amazing and I really thank her for that ( I had to send a parcel and she gave me the zip code of the flat really fast). I thought the flat was a little bit cold though even with the heater on for a few hours but I would still recommend the flat as it is a rather cheap alternative to experience life in Tokyo. Good location, good service, comfy appartment.
I honestly cannot say enough about how brilliant this apartment was. We searched for a long time, and feel so incredibly lucky to have found it!
The apartment is spacious (especially for Tokyo), very clean, has everything you could possibly need and is in a great neighbourhood. The beds are comfortable doubles, there is even a washing machine. The building is new and beautiful, and as if it couldn't get any better, right next door to a subway station! There's even a balcony with a view out over buildings and the skyline.
The neighbourhood is one stop away from Shibuya, very close, and has it's own great restaurants and shops. There's even a supermarket a couple of blocks away. If you walk about 10-15 minutes you hit a major street full of even more restaurants and shopping, really exciting.
Lauren couldn't have been more communicative or helpful. She left detailed instructions for everything, and was there to greet us when we arrived.
This is honestly one of the best AirBnB experiences we've had, and we loved Tokyo. Can't wait to come back.
Our first night started out very bad. The taxi driver could not figure out the address and dropped us off the main street. We were tired, cold and hungry. Since there was a language barrier it took us a few min. to find Lauren's place in the dark everything looked the same. When we finally found it, the keys were not there. We were lucky to find a WiFi connection and was able to contact Lauren. She said we could wait in the other room that had the key, she came and met us after 30 min. opened the door to our room. She gave us a discount for our troubles.
The pocket WiFi was a tool we needed for the trip, Lauren was so accommodating, she answered all our questions in a timely manner. She was very flexible since we were traveling and our tickets were on stand by.
We have known the Japanese people to be a very honest. We were sightseeing the city and in the midst of their chaotic rush hour on the train, I lost my JR pass. I contacted Lauren to pls call the office she did, and by a miracle my pass was found still in time to use it. With Lauren's help I was able to retrieve it and had the most wonderful adventure in Tokyo and Kyoto.
Thank Lauren. It was a wonderful trip.
Thank you for staying in my apartment.
I wish your trip was nice.
I had a trip with an older sister and the daughter and a daughter of Japan choose the great good luck house, and thank you. It was heartwarming and was felt only by relation being good, and close sisters and daughters looking. While I stayed, I took words, I told that I left and "was careful" about a trip to U.K. and it was not only a side to stay at and has been moved with a heart trainer unintentionally. I think that I have such contact, and the thing more than countries would meet what a splendid people. If there is that I come to Japan, please use it anytime.
