We were in town on family business just as the spring thaw was affecting Vermont. We had to call Nancy en route because we were arriving late. She was very accommodating and suggested a wonderful restaurant on the way, so we arrived at her home very late. She was there to greet us at the door and to show us to the very complete and tidy apartment. Given the hour we were grateful for the warm firm bed, and next morning for the coffee and breakfast provisions she had provided. During the rest of our stay our family kept us from crossing paths with Nancy and really appreciating the rest of the house and grounds, but her friendliness and the accommodations will have us come back when we are less pressed for time. We highly recommend her hospitality and studio apartment.

Nancy was very responsive and welcoming when we arrived. I forgot a hair dryer and I was looking for a place to go for a run, she quickly provided help for both! The space is just as pictured, bright, sunny and peaceful which was certainly welcoming as the mud season was starting in VT. We LOVED the fresh daffodils, fluffy robes, the local cream, eggs & yogurt, honey and the Green Mtn coffee left for us to enjoy. Such a nice touch! We walked to Skunk Hollow Tavern for a fabulous dinner and enjoyed the starry sky as we walked home. A wonderful stay. Nancy had a great balance of being there when we needed her and then giving us the privacy we were looking for as well.
Nancy was the perfect host. She showed us around the apartment and told us about local restaurants and ski trails. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and cozy - just as advertised. We would enjoy staying here again.
This was our first trip to Hartland, VT. As with most places, it was a pleasure to visit. We did not have chance to ski on Hartland's maintained ski trail network due to inclement weather, but this looks like something to check out next time. Nancy's apartment provides a real incentive to return.
Nancy met us upon arrival at her charming home located in lovely and quiet Hartland, Vermont. She made us feel at home and answered our questions about local cross-country ski trails, where to go grocery shopping and other points of interest in the area.
The studio apartment was very cute and fairly large. It was the perfect size for two people. The kitchen was pretty simple but had all the necessities - Nancy also provided some local eggs, yogurt and cream for coffee, which were delicious and greatly appreciated! The food in Vermont was wonderful!
If you are a fan of cross-country skiing, Nancy's place is ideal for you. There are some cross-country ski trails which start right next to Nancy's property - also there is another trail head about a 3 min drive down the road to a 30km network of community-run and well maintained cross country trails - they were gorgeous. Most of the trails were groomed for classic cross country skiing but there were others which I would characterize as "back country" as well as some snowmobile trails. My girlfriend and I went skiing quite a bit while we were there.
All in all, I would recommend Nancy's place to any folks looking for an off-the-beaten-track Vermont experience.
We had a perfect weekend in Nancy's very charming farmhouse studio! It was nice and bright and clean. Nancy wrote us a very considerate email with details before we got there, and left us some local milk, eggs, and yogurt in the fridge—along with 2 little chocolate hearts, since we were there over Valentine's Day. She was a pleasure to coordinate with even though we didn't get to meet her. Would highly recommend this location!
We arrived around 6pm to see our host shoveling out a space in the driveway from the recent snow fall which we quickly told her wasn't needed as I drive a Wrangler. She showed us our room which was the perfect size for my girlfriend and I. Complementary eggs, yogurt, and heavy cream in the fridge all local from VT. She gave us recommendations for a great place to eat less than a mile down the road and was very accommodating to any request we had. The night we stayed was EXTREMELY windy and so sleeping was a bit difficult but this was not her fault, and she even apologized for the inconvenience. All in all a really great stay in a nice sleepy little Vermont town. I definitely recommend this for couples or individuals looking for a nice quiet place to spend the night. Just be sure if it has recently snowed that you have a car that is prepared for it cause the house is a little off the beaten path.
Nancy was a great host. She provided great ideas for my girlfriend and I to make the most of our trip. Nancy was friendly and helpful while also giving my girlfriend and I privacy and making us feel like the space was ours.
The apartment was exactly as discribed, was clean and very nice. We would definitely stay with Nancy again if the opportunity presented itself.
The room was as pictured and we greatly appreciated the yogurt and eggs Nancy left for us. The directions were excellent. At this price point, more responsiveness to our text questions during our stay would have been appreciated, but all in all a wonderful getaway in scenic Vermont. We would certainly recommend Nancy's home to our friends and family.
Thank you for the wonderful stay here at your home. I really enjoyed the apartment. It was clean, very well stocked and quiet. I loved the extra touches, of the books, games and milk and eggs in the refrigerator.
I will be giving this a 5 star rating on Air BnB.
Thanks again for this wonderful apartment, and if I am in the area, I hope you will have me back.
