I'm so sorry to hear that we have had a guest who did not enjoy their stay. Unfortunately, these complaints were not communicated during the stay - I have two phone numbers in the house manual, which guests can feel free to call or text at any time, especially when it is anything urgent. Neither I nor my mother/cohost received any calls or texts during the stay, and we would have definitely responded promptly if we were made aware of complaints.
In my profile, I have stated that I do not live in the area, but I have posted my mother's contact information in the house manual (since contact info cannot be seen until the reservation is made), and she is in the area and always available. I do also try to respond to any contact promptly. As for the late cooking and smell, the tenant responsible will no longer be living at our property as his lease has just been terminated.
Finally, the property is cleaned at least once a week, and my mother had actually met Laura and her boyfriend during her visit, which I guess they have forgotten? Unfortunately we do not have control over the cleanliness of other guests, as the bathroom is shared between 2 airbnb rooms, but we do try our best to keep the place as clean as possible. For future guests, please let us know if you have any complaints!
