Hey, I’m Rose!

Tampa, Florida, United States · Member since April 2013

Portland, Oregon native transplanted to Tampa, Florida after living in Vermont for a couple of years. I love to travel and have had had the opportunity to experience many wonderful places around the globe living, working and traveling. I enjoy meeting people and I love being immersed in new cultures - hosting people in my home is one way I like to connect with travelers from far and wide while I'm at my home base in Tampa, FL. The relationships I have made through all my experiences both hosting and being hosted, have made a tremendously positive impact on my life.

I live a healthy lifestyle and gravitate toward the field I am trained in, which is holistic health, Yoga instruction, nutrition (food as medicine) and public health. I am an experienced 500 hour certified yoga instructor, Holistic Health Practitioner, Ayurvedic Consultant and a free spirit. I believe life is about the journey, not the destination. I have a 501c3 non-profit, called Zen Den Holistic Wellness, which is an educational resource both online and hands-on which has the aim of helping people achieve and maintain their optimum state of vitality while living sustainably and consciously. I invite people in who would like to collaborate, share ideas and who have a genuine interest in learning how to live more sustainably, consciously, in wellness and with intention.
Interests: reading, yoga, traveling, permaculture, nature, art, cooking, music, a cup of tea :)
