Ho contattato l'host prima dell'arrivo sia tramite chat airbnb che telefonicamente, specificando più volte che eravamo 6 ospiti, e avendo letto recensioni negative sulla loro correttezza,non volevo vivere le stesse esperienze di altri.L'host ha risposto che in appartamento c'erano 2camere da letto e 1 divano sofà!al nostro arrivo in appartamento (non era assolutemente A BIG FLAT e le foto non corrispondevanoper niente) c'erano 2 camere matrimoniali e solo una brandina con doghe rotte e senza materasso, e un tavolino con 4 sedie!Dopo aver provato a contattarli diverse volte alle 11.00 (website hidden) è stato consegnato 1 materasso da 4 cm completamente bagnato e macchiato da mettere sulla brandina!(email hidden) pima sera uno di noi ha dormito a terra!Il giorno successivo ci hanno consegnato le chiavi di un altro appartamento nello stesso stabile con 1 letto matrimoniale ( a questo punto ognuno aveva un posto letto) ma senza tavolo per mangiare (nonostante ci fosse la cucina). La mattina del penultimo giorno ci arriva un messaggio sul cellulare (riferitoci inviato la sera prima)che il secondo appartamento che ci avevano assegnato doveva essere lasciato.Ho trascorso tutta la pausa pranzo al telefono con un tramite dell'host che mi diceva che occupavo abusivamente (mi hanno dato loro le chiavi scusandosi del disagio della prima sera)un appartamento e che per il pomeriggio avevano un nuovo arrivo e dovevo liberare l'appartamento dalle mie cose...ritornando a dormire per l'ultima sera nell'appartamento da 4 posti letto più una brandina con doghe rotte (nel frattempo però era arrivato un materasso più alto). Continua a mancare un posto letto...i conti non tornano!Ci hanno creato un ulteriore disagio per evitare disagi al nuovo cliente!Ci hanno consegnato anche un cavo dell'antenna che mancava. e i soldi sono stati presi subito!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were placed in the apartment that was reflected on the website and Mario was very friendly and helpful with our check in. The location was great in that it is close to the Paddington station, Hyde Park and many restaurants, etc. I am glad that we worked with Mario due to his helpfulness and responsiveness. We had tried communicating with Denise prior to our arrival and did not receive a response to our first message and on the second message she was quite abrupt as if we were bothering her (at least that was my interpretation). Someone had also entered the apartment while we were not there the first full day. Some things had been moved, etc, but nothing was "cleaned" so we know it wasn't a cleaning service and no note was left to let us know they had entered and "why" they had entered it. Nothing was missing but it was definitely something that we were not necessarily comfortable with happening due to it being an apartment rental and not a hotel room.
APARTAMENTO a 5 minutos Paddington estación y cercano a Hyde Parck.Cuando llamé para quedar me dijeron que llevaban desde las 16:00 horas esperando (avisé a las 16:30), ya que habia comentando días atrás que cuando llegara a Stanted llamaria a Denise para quedar a una (website hidden) comenta que tiene una cita hacia las 19:00 horas y que no podría estar ella.
Llegamos al apartamento y nos recibió una señora que no hablaba ni español ni Inglés, solo me preguntó por mi (website hidden) entrega una llave y me acompaña -sorpresa- a una sexta planta sin ascensor, un apartamento distinto al elegido por mí,- en una segunda planta-.Le digo que ese no era el apartamento elegido por mi y como no entiende nada llamo por teléfono y se pone otra persona distinta a Denise y me comenta que hay una humedad en el apartamento de la segunda planta y por eso nos aloja en el de la sexta planta.Hablamos con esta persona y quedamos en que igual la llamamos al día siguiente para resolver esta incidencia, cosa que no hicimos para no darle más vueltas a esta situación -subir a la 6ª planta con una maleta y por escalera estrecha, sobretodo las dos últimas plantas-, no era como para al día siguiente volver a bajar,etc.
En principio parece ser que el apartamento que nos entregaron era mayor que el elegido, ya que tenia dos habitaciones, en lugar de una como fué el que yo reservé.
Aparentemente a primera vista estaba bien,hasta que uno empieza a instalarse y observa en plan negativo:
Una de las habitaciones, donde comenzamos a instalarnos, tenía una parte de la cama que se hundía totalmente mientras la otra permanecia rígida, con lo cual hubo que (website hidden) otra que utilizamos estaba (website hidden) puerta de entrada creo que se abre con un buen empujón, ya que se ve muy endeble la cerradura y se ve que hubo varias instalaciones de cerraduras.
El horno - aunque no lo utilizamos para nada-, aunque se te quitan las ganas, estaba sin limpiar desde el último uso y finalmente la ducha necesita que el agua filtre mejor y un poco más de limpieza.
El sofá -de piel-, estaba cubierto por una funda que la única función que hace es tapar un parche que tiene pegado sobre un gran remiendo.
Cuando te duchas, entra en funcionamiento la calefacción, lo cual se agradece y a la vez seca las toallas.
La situación es muy buena y tranquila y en el entorno dispone de restaurantes.,etc.
I was highly disappointed by my stay and would advise people against using Denise or her company - they are not worth the headache!
Upon our arrival, we were informed that there was a leak and we were unilaterally relocated to another flat owned by the same company down the road. This replacement flat was of far lesser calibre than the flat that I thought I was renting based on pictures - not nearly as well furnished, and a fair bit of cosmetic damage (paint peeling, doorknobs not working, etc.). Beyond that, despite being told that there was free wifi, none existed in the new flat (only had BTOpenZone available which is not free). I inquired about the lack of the advertised amenities, and was provided the security code to the router from another flat... except for the fact that the new code was for the flat adjacent to the one we had initially rented, rather than the one in which we were.
This lack of coordination and professionalism was the hallmark of our stay - Denise and her colleagues didn't seem to communicate at all, as she had no idea I was now in a different flat, and they didn't know that she was being told her tenants had no wifi, etc. Furthermore, we were unable to coordinate a check-in time with the company due to their issues, and no one showed up at the requested check out time. While these are all minor headaches, in aggregate when one is staying in town for business for 2 short days it really adds a lot of aggravation on top of the fact that we didn't get to stay in the flat that I rented. Ultimately, I feel as if the company pulled a "bait and switch" and I sorely overpaid for a 1-star motel level accommodation. Proceed with caution!
Staff are friendly and efficient and great location! Will definitely stay again.
First of all, "Denise" is not a real person or at least she is not the real person managing this profile. This property is run by a leasing agency who preys on the innocence of Airbnb'ers who are used to dealing with real individuals, not corporate people about to make a quick buck.
Retrieving the keys to the apartment was an utter nightmare. "Denise" emailed me four days prior to my arrival pushing me to make specific arrangements about a time to pick up the keys. I emailed and called the registered phone number and email address at 8am the morning of my check-in and by 5pm had still not received a response. At 5pm I sent another note through the Airbnb site and was told that the maid had been waiting for me since 2pm when no such arrangement had been made by me. When I arrived to pick up the keys 30 min later, no one was at the residence. Several more phone calls and 45 min of standing outside and I finally received my keys only to find that the apartment that I was given was on the 6th floor of the building and there were 8 flights of stairs to drag my suitcase up in order to get to it. Furthermore, the room i received was not what was shown in the pictures. The pictures showed a large bedroom and a large bathroom. The room I received was shoebox and had no separate living area. The bathroom was so small i could barely get ready for work in the morning. The wifi did not work that night and at 10pm I had to go hunting in the neighborhood for an Internet cafe so that I could have a scheduled conference call with my colleagues in California.
I emailed Denise multiple times and asked to have the room I paid for, explained that the wifi wasn't reliable and SHE NEVER WROTE ME BACK. Never called. No one ever came to offer any solution.

My reservation was confirmed quickly, but my e-mail was not answered. I called some days before my arrival. I found the address of London Villa – the company that owns 200 Sussex Gardens and where Denise seems to be employed – on the internet.
The young man, who let me in was on time. I found the flat different from the pictures on Airbnb. They were bright and appeared sunny, but especially the kitchen / living room was fairly dark and the furniture was different, too. The sofa seen in the picture was not there. Instead there was a faux leather couch with the back hanging slightly askew. The armchair (displayed in the photo) seemed worn and dirty as well as the white covers of the chairs at the table. Two light bulbs did not work and the TV mentioned in the profile was not there. One blind was broken, one was missing.
In the living room as well as in the bedroom there was an additional bed displaying the blank mattress, as they were not needed. The double bed was prepared for me. The back of the wardrobe in the bedroom was leaning loosely against the wall behind. In the wardrobe they stored the unneeded bed covers and pillows. I complained to the man who let me in. He seemed concerned and called his company. As I don't understand Greek, I could not follow the conversation. He then promised to change the bulbs and also to bring a TV. He said, he would call me in the afternoon. His call never came.
As nothing had happened, I called the office in the late afternoon to complain about the missing TV and the furniture different from the ones in the photos. The woman on the phone told me that a TV would be brought to the flat. About the furniture she told me: “This is what you booked and this is what you get”.
The next morning I went to the office of London Villa and was received by a young woman in the corridor of the building. She promised a TV would be brought in the afternoon and the bulbs would be changed, too.
In the late afternoon nothing had changed. On my call I was told, that “their man” would come to the flat within the next 30 minutes. Later that evening, a TV had been brought to the flat and one bulb was changed – the other one was not replaced.
I called the day before I left to hear how I could return the key and was told: “Just leave it on the table and close the door behind you”. The next day, when I came back from breakfast at 11:45 a.m. to collect my suitcase, the cleaner was already busy preparing the flat for the next guest. She had already prepared the bed for four people and cleaned most of the flat.
I will not book through London Villa again.
Did not meet Denise. Coordinated by Text and phone. The flat was not the flat I reserved (or at least did not match the pictures) But in the end it worked out. Location was excellent. Clean. Ample linens. Missing some light bulbs and took some new batteries to get the TV working. Shower head tied on with string. Not a luxury flat - but met my expectations for this price range.
