A happy owner of a beautiful condo in Samara, Costa Rica
Fantastic place! Great location so close to the beach yet away from the crowds. The view is breathtaking and it is fun to watch the changes in the colors of the ocean and sky from high above. The apartment is super cozy with all the amenities needed and the building has a gated courtyard. The manager will make sure you are happy.
This place is amazing. The view is actually hard to believe while the condo itself has everything you need to feel right at home. The pool is flawless and is large enough to do laps if that's your thing.
We didn't actually meet Michael, but we did connect with the property manager Nick. My girlfriend and I were in Nicaragua when we booked and we're emailing back and forth with Nick about our potential arrival time at the condo for the date of check in. Turns out that Nick was just up the road from us in Nicaragua so we all linked up, bussed/walked across the Nica/CR border, picked up our rental car and made the drive from Liberia to Samara together. Nick is an extremely friendly guy with a great sense of humor. Without him helping us through the border we would've been hours later than when we actually arrived and probably short a few more $ as well.
Once we arrived in town he gave us the lay of the land and introduced us to a couple locals who further detailed the town of Samara for us. We made our way up to the condo and as I mentioned earlier the view was stunning and the condo was beautiful. Nick gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. He left us his number and made himself readily available for anything we may have needed.
My only regret was that we didn't get to link up with Nick for a farewell drink. He's a kind individual and will do everything and anything to make sure your stay is comfortable. I would highly recommend booking this condo and would definitely stay there again for our next visit.
Thanks again, Nick!
This listing is as advertised including the view which was outstanding. Every morning sitting their with a cup of coffee reminded me - I am on vacation! Booking through AB&B to Mike was so easy. Absolutely no hassle. We were contacted by the property manager Nick before we arrived as well as met there when we arrived so we had no worries. He was professional making sure we knew everything including information on local activities and restos. He checked in a few times to make sure all was okay.
The location was perfect for us - a short walk to the beach and back. You do need to cross the main road but it is not too busy. And it is uphill all the way to get back, but hey, one extra beverage in the evening for that exercise! The center of town is also very close but we drove as we were not comfortable walking on the main road after dark.
The pool was perfect for cooling off at the end of a hike or hot day. Only a few other guests in the complex so we pretty much had it to ourselves. The security guys were also very nice and accommodating.
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place with all the amenities if you don't need to be in the center of town. Quiet, comfortable and that view!
We ziplined with Wingnuts, walked the preserve with Samara Trails, ATV'd with Outback and surfed with Patos. And enjoyed the beach and ocean and all Samara had to offer. Stop in a Samara Info Center at Lo Que Hay - a one-stop shop for all activities.
On our walk to the beach is Koss Art Gallery - beautiful, colorful oil paintings by an interesting man. We came home with one as a memory of our time there.
Samara is a quiet gem of a town where everyone knows everyone - don't tell anyone as we don't want them to turn into Montezuma or Jaco. We are so glad we picked this place.
Host was right on schedule when we arrived. Property was exactly as described.
Sometimes renting a place you've only seen in pictures, and traveling thousands of miles to get there can be frightening. Fortunately, the pictures don't do justice to this place!
The attendants let us into our room, and Nick arrived shortly after to meet and greet and answer questions. Super-nice guy, and readily available to help with any problems or arrangements we needed to make.
We were the only people in the building, and having the pool to ourselves made it all the more luxurious. Every day we walked down the steps, crossed the main road, and walked a block to the beach. The walk back up gives you your exercise for the day.
If you want to be close to Samara's beach and downtown but have a quiet retreat, this place was a great choice. The apartment was well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. Having laundry in the unit made it much easier to pack for our trip, too. The view from the living room is simply amazing. The only inconveniences we had are what you get pretty much all over Costa Rica and the tropics more generally. This place and its staff, were most welcoming!
A group of eight stayed here for Stagecoach and it was perfect. Everyone had a comfortable bed and the house is beautiful, updated, and completely stocked. We used the pool and hot tub everyday before heading to the festival. It's in a perfect location - about 20 mins from the venue and there were plenty of grocery stores close by. We even hit a nearby yoga studio on Sunday morning. We cooked breakfast every morning - the kitchen is incredible and has everything you need. The neighborhood is quiet and calm - the house was a great place to relax. Mike (owner) and Dean (property manager) were very responsive and so kind.
Great location. Sweet Views. Nice cool air con. Loads of space, Awesome pool. Monkeys! Friendly staff. Safe. Decent beds. Black out shade for hangovers. Giant grasshoppers! Close to everything. Blender really chops the ice! Coffee pot! Plenty of utensils in kitchen. Sweet beach chairs and boogie boards. What working WIFI?? Yes! Toaster! Filtered water and ice trays! We had an amazing time at Mikes place and would go back 100 times over. Loved it all, even the crazy bumpy road to get up to the top. Cons, if you have trouble walking or are elderly, there are A LOT of stairs. We used those extra steps to work off all the fresh avocados were we chowing on every day. Book it! You won't be disappointed.
We had a wonderful time at the property!! We had a travel delay in getting to Palm Springs, but Dean (the property manager) was incredibly understanding and made every effort to accommodate an ever-changing arrival schedule. The house had everything we needed for our stay and very clean and comfortable. All the rooms were spacious, very well appointed and the kitchen was a dream! The patio and pool was a great area to relax and the hot tub was perfect evening retreat. Location of the home is smack dab in the middle of the Valley which made getting anywhere from Indio to Downtown Palm Springs a breeze. I very much recommend this property. It was a pleasure working with Mike, the owner, as well as Dean, and both were highly communicative and responsive. Thank you guys for a making our Thanksgiving weekend a memorable and enjoyable event!
Thanks for the wonderful review and for taking care of our home. We are always thrilled to hear our guests had a great stay!
I cannot emphasize enough how great our stay here was. I stayed here with my boyfriend, but this house can easily accommodate 8-10 people. It looks exactly like the photos- everything is clean and new. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need from towels to trash bags and hair dryers. Water bottles were left next to every bedside like a hotel.
The hosts were truly great. Mike and his property manager, Dean, were quick to respond and overall very pleasant to work with. When we arrived on Friday night, Dean gave us a full tour and rundown of the property. He was super friendly and on call for the entire weekend for emergencies. Since we arrived late, Mike offered to let us stay and hang out (at no extra cost) past our checkout time. Beyond accommodating!
The house also has a bunch of user-friendly gadgets including: a remote control that operates the pool lights & jacuzzi, iPhone5 speakers, a fancy coffee maker and a Smart TV fully equipped with Netflix, Amazon, AppleTV, etc. The house doesn't have cable - but we certainly didn't mind, as we spent most of our time by the pool.
Hands down, the best AirBnB I've stayed at so far. We came to relax for 3 days - which is exactly what we did! We were sad to leave & will DEFINITELY be staying here again.
Veneto Condos was a great place to stay for our family of five (2 adults, three kiddos). The picture of the view simply does not do it justice. The view is truly amazing and clearly the best view in Playa Samara.
There were plenty of towels and AC worked great. We swam in the pool which was so nice after our long hikes. It was very clean and even saw the guy cleaning. The jets were not on when we went in, so I just asked one of the men working the grounds he he gladly turned them on - more fun for the kids.
You can walk to the beach in literally three minutes. It's close to everything you need and a $5 taxi ride if you really need it. We walked to Playa Camarillo and taxied back which was $10.
The kitchen was nice, had dishes, pans, toaster, etc. we needed to make our own breakfast. Other days we just ate out.
The place is VERY safe and we felt comfortable walking home at night - it was pitch dark around the condo, so be sure to have a flashlight or your cell flashlight. We heard monkeys at night, which was very cool :).
There's no TV which is (email hidden)d kids used the speakers to play their music.
Nick greeted us upon our arrival and also spoke with our driver to ensure he could find the place. It was nice to have Nick meet us there. He had the AC running, gave us a tour, and pointed out some good eats. He was available to us via phone (there's a phone for local calls in the condo) we even saw him scooting around. He called on our last day just to make sure we had a good stay. Thanks Nick, we sure did!
This is a great place to stay. We loved it!
