Awesome stay with Gina! Very smooth stay and her place is great and convenient. Bed was super comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay in Algiers Point, at this great house and with these fantastic hosts! It was a welcome retreat from the chaos of downtown NOLA. We really enjoyed walking through the historic neighbourhood, and sitting on the top terrace, morning and evening, soaking in the view. There are also herons nesting in the oak trees and lots if great birds to spot! Dream! You will pay more in taxis/parking for sure as it's unlikely you'll want to return before the ferry ends, but this lovely home is still great value, compared to the high hotel prices on the other side. One thing to note is that groceries are hard to come by on the Westbank, and the kitchen is not really set up for making full meals- but you're in New Orleans so it would be a waste to cook at home in a city with such great food. Plus the hosts are kind enough to leave you with snacks and breakfast food to get you by. Of note - The blueberry pie at Tout de Suite is par none! I eat two slices in one day. Oh and the house is Yellow - not Purple if you are scrambling to find it on google maps or with your cab driver! Lastly if you are a frugal traveler you may want to take the city bus from the airport and either transfer downtown (101 goes right by the house) or cab from downtown. I also recommend renting bikes for your stay!
Gina's place is great - pictures do not do it justice. The bathroom is amazing! She was very welcoming, and stayed out of our way gave us our privacy. Overall, an all around good experience and would highly recommend booking her room.
Staying with Gina was wonderful! The room was even better than it looks in the pictures. The bathroom, particularly the bathtub, was what had me sold on the room to begin with--it was everything I'd hoped it would be and more! It was very clean. The neighborhood Gina lives in is very quiet. It is near everything we wanted to do while in New Orleans. Gina was very understanding and accommodating when I told her that I am gluten-intolerant and needed to prepare my own breakfast. She showed me around the kitchen and offered us space in the large fridge in the kitchen to put our food. The fridge in the room was stocked with bottles of water, beer, and tea. There's a coffee pot with coffee and tea in the room. I just can't say enough nice things about staying with Gina! This was a great first AirBnB experience and I would definitely be willing to stay here again!
It was a great experience. The home was very clean, there were plenty of towels and snacks. Really felt above and beyond. She even had a book of local recommendations. It was a great help.
This was my very first airbnb experience and man I was so lucky! Gina is such a peach. She was very professional from the first time I walked in the door. The room is superb. Trust me, the pictures don't do it justice. 10/10 would come again!
Gina apartment more than exceeded our expectations. We had a party of 8 for Mardi Gras weekend and everyone was comfortable. Shockingly we made it work with 1 bathroom. Never ran out of hot water. For Gina to provide snacks and Orange Juice for us, was just amazing hospitality! Beds are comfy and clean. Gina provides your own set of keys so you can come and go as your please. Exceeded our expectations! High recommend!!!!!
You Rock Gina!
Fantastic experience here at Gina's house. Gina and her son welcomed us when we arrived. The room is clean and the bathroom is gorgeous. The location is also really nice if you plan to drive to French Quarter or WWII museum. Gina is so nice and even let us use her detergent to do the laundry. And the breakfast she provided is so delicious. Definitely recommend this place!
Very uncomplicated and easy contact.
Our first airBNB experience was awesome, thanks to Gina! She was very friendly and not intrusive at all, and very accommodating. I felt bad because I was having some issues with my new phone and didn't get any of her messages, but she was very nice about it. The bathroom is just gorgeous (even has a TV in it) and the 2 person jacuzzi was wonderfully relaxing and clean. The room is definitely comfy as well with Roku on the TV and a mini fridge, which Gina had stocked with water and sodas. Her kids were also very friendly and sweet. She even let me do a load of laundry before we left, which was very kind. The room does get quite a lot of light in the morning...my one suggestion might be curtains over the doors, which might also help to give the room a homier feel. But that's a very minor detail, everything else was completely wonderful! Thanks so much, Gina!
Gina was very courteous and respectful of staying in my apartment. She wrote a sweet note of thanks despite me doing very little other than making sure she had everything she needed and to be available to her if she had a question.
