My name is Isbel - I was named after my great aunt, Isbel McKenzie, who was Scottish. I currently live in Eugene, Oregon with my wife, Lorraine, our four dogs, one cat, several chickens and two ducks. Come fall we will be moving back to Portland, Oregon.
Currently I work with people with trauma backgrounds, as well as children on the Autism spectrum - and I feel incredibly blessed to do this work. Formerly I taught at Portland State University.
Lorraine and I have been together 20 years. She works for PeaceHealth as a case manager for people exiting the mental health facility here in Eugene.
We love our lives! We also love to travel and hope to go to Thailand this summer with our 16-year-old grandson. Our longer-term goal is to retire overseas.
Do I have a life motto? Too many to list, I think. I live to grow and change, however - does that work? And be very, very good to people.
