Passionate about Mexico, it's warm friendly people and rich history. Love to explore, fish, garden and baking using fresh local produce.
Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and beautiful apartment.
The place was as advertised, lovely and quiet. Brenda was very attentive and always happy to have a chat but completely respected our privacy, too. The place was scrupulously clean and nicely appointed, we wanted for nothing and Brenda shared fruit from her garden.
You will definitely need a car, but the driving is easy. This is a great place to stay and chill, just a few minutes from the beaches and from downtown Todos Santos.
While you are in Todos Santos be sure to eat at Hierba Buena in Pescadero, wonderful farm-to-table restaurant. We ate there 3 times in 5 days :-)
Brenda is an amazing hostess who provided us with great recommendations on places to eat in Todos Santos and gave us the 'inside scoop' on places to check out while we were there. The casita is the perfect getaway and we had all the amenities we needed. The beautiful beach was less than a 10 minute walk from the place and the town of Todos Santos is less than a 5 minute car ride away.
Perfect location and great hospitality.
We missed the place as soon as we got into the car to drive back to the airport.
After four days at Brenda's piece of paradise it was tough to leave. The view of the ocean through the palm trees from the comfy couch is hard to beat, that is until you climb upstairs to the rooftop deck to watch the whales breaching in the Pacific.
The king size bed is heavenly comfortable with lovely cotton sheets and lots of pillows. The shower in the big bathroom is great, with plenty of hot (website hidden) alfresco on the private shaded patio is a breeze, with everything you will need for your stay.
The beach is a short walk and you can see baby turtles being released to the ocean.
Your host Brenda is very friendly, attentive and helpful and will give great suggestions for restaurants and secluded swimming beaches.
Highly recommended and I can't wait to come back.
We had such a great time in Todos Santos. Many thanks to Brenda for her hospitality. Her suggestions for things to see and do were incredibly helpful and made a great trip even better. The casita is beautiful and equipped with everything you need and more. Thanks again for having us and making our stay so easy and comfortable.
Our recent stay at Iguana de los Mangos was wonderful! Brenda was a great host and added to our stay with wonderful suggestions and local insight. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything needed for cooking, the sitting areas outside were plentiful offering sun, shade and views. If (or when!) we return to Todos Santos we would definitely stay here again!
We just completed a 3 days stay at Iguana de los Mangos. Very delightful. We had just come from a week in Cabo and the difference was quite refreshing. It is quiet, the place is on a dirt road that you'll see more horses on than cars. It's a short walk to a stunning beach (miles in both directions with very few people). Strong undercurrents, it's not swim-able.
The place is comfortable, homey, Brenda is a great hostess.
Brenda was an awesome host. My partner and I needed a quiet place to work while we were taking a Baja beach vacation, and Iguana de los Mangos couldn't have been better. The apartment is one main bedroom with a king-size bed and a sitting area, with a couch and coffee table. There is also a little desk and plenty of space. Then there's a huge bathroom with 2 doors, one to the bedroom and one to the outside. On the outside there is a kitchen/bar area where there is a counter with barstools, a food prep area including a microwave, 2-burner stove, sink and mini-fridge. She also has a coffee maker and all the pots, pans, utensils, etc. She even thought of cooler bags and tupperware. It was a very user-friendly kitchen and we cooked most of our meals. The kitchen area is under a roof, so it's outdoors but protected, and the dining area (a table with 4 chairs) is also under that roof. Then, part of the same space is a deck with a charcoal grill (all the tools and charcoal stuff provided) and a great view. Part of the same deck has another sitting area with a loveseat and a few chairs, around a coffee table. This area is under a sort of stick roof, so it's partially shaded but good light comes in. Then to top it off (pun intended), there's a spiral staircase that leads to a rooftop deck, with a hammock and even better view of the ocean. We spent a lot of time there since we both had a ton of work to do, but Brenda was also really helpful in recommending the best swimming beaches (you do need to drive to these but there's a non-swimming beach a short walk away) and restaurants in town, as well as activities she can help arrange. Brenda was as accessible as we wanted her to be, and she even loaned us beach chairs, an umbrella and a hat since my partner forgot hers. Oh yeah-- the space is really nicely decorated, and there's a great cross breeze so no air conditioning needed. We would totally stay there again!
Brenda was a great host!! And a great baker. Every morning there was some amazing baked treat for breakfast. And Lady Victoria (the dog) was a great a companion too.
I highly recommend staying at Brenda's Iguana de Los Mangos. Brenda made our stay in Todos Santos easy and luxurious. The casita is spacious and beautifully designed and maintained. It's a wonderful place to relax in between excursions to town and the beach.
Brenda knows everything there is to know about Todos Santos and was readily available by phone whenever we were out and about and needed guidance. She also enjoys cooking and baking and making her guests delicious breakfasts.
Don't hesitate! You'll be happy at Iguana de Los Mangos.
