Hello from Ko Lanta, Thailand!
We help run sun island tours, Excellent trips around ko lanta's magical islands.
We like painting and taking pictures..
A very sweet little place, ideal for a couple of nights but not much longer. It is fairly out of the way and this can be a problem if you want to go to the beaches or out for supper. Long beach or Khlong Nin on the West side are much more attractive places to stay.
Beautiful grounds very tropical and private secure setting overlooking rice fields, Bathroom was beautiful in a private outdoor setting it was unique to shower with butterfly's flying around you. Breakfast was made by helpful polite staff and was delicious.
endroit extrêmement humide dépaysement garanti un peu loin du centre très bruyant mais authentique
We had a lovely stay in the lychee house. In light of the traditional hotel stays it truly felt like a unique experience, sleeping with the sea right under your bed. The house has a nice hippie touch to it, and frankly we don't think that the present pictures on the airbnb does it quite credit. All amenities were in order, though the washing machine certainly wasn't from this century. We got it to work but I wouldn't advise you to use it for white clothing. Old Town is really much nicer than we expected - better food and more charm than on the other side. Very nice food and service at Apsara. No beach on this side but 500-600 for a taxi to and from Klong Nin - a very fine beach. Being a family of 4 with a 5 year old kid and a 6 months baby the mix of a couple of weeks on Klong dao and 5 daysin the Pole house turned out to be a very good deal for us.
We had a delightful stay at Coconut house. Definitely recommend!
La maison vraiment génial on es comme à la maison et l espace la situation très agréable je recommencerai
Beautiful village and people, would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a more rural setting but close to what Ubud has to offer. We loved falling asleep to singing from the village ceremonies. A nice communal feel with as much privacy as you need. The THouse staff are wonderful and so helpful!!
We had a fantastic few days at Lychee House. House was great, amazing views from the deck and we liked Old Town - quiet but with enough restaurants and small shops. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the more touristy places and relax in a beautiful setting for a few days.
We have been in Thailand one full month, from the north to the south, and we have been in love with Koh-Lanta "Old town". This is the best place we have seen during the trip : authentic village with smiling local people. Susanna's house is just perfect! The view from the terrasse is amazing and peaceful! We recommend it to all the people that would like to meet the real Thailand.
Our stay in Coconut House was a wonderful experience! Living side by side with the villagers of Lanta Old Town gives u a unique insight into Thai daily life. Your days will be spent mesmerized by the sea view from the deck and blending in with the soundscape around you. This consisted of the waves lapping under the house as the tide comes in, to local cockerels crowing and dogs howling along with the Call to prayer several times a day.
Close to the pole houses are some fabulous restaurants and cool places to hang out such as 'Shanti Shanti' and a new local eatery called 'Shine Talay' We have been visiting Thailand for 13 years now and highly rate the food here at its best!! Delicious!!
All in all we had a wonderful 8 days here and made friends with many of the local characters including the cats/dogs/cockerels/and birds!
You will definatly need transport if you're staying more than a few days and any swimming will be best done from the beaches on the other side of the Island (15 mins on a moped)
Susanna and his brother are absolutely great guest.
