Travel is our lifestyle!!! We are a family of three taking on the world! Over a year ago we decided to dedicate ourselves to live in the now and have more meaningful experiences. So we quit our jobs, sold most of our belongings, rented our house and began our adventure! At this point we've been to France, Germany, Italy, most of the French Polynesian islands and China. Luckily we've been able to stay with friends and family in most of the places we've visited, which makes our new lifestyle affordable. But when we go somewhere we don't know someone we use airbnb! When we travel we don't like to feel like we're on vacation, we want to truly experience the culture, which is why airbnb is so wonderful by connecting us with unique lodging opportunities and great hosts who give us local knowledge.
A little about who we are: There are 3 of us, myself, my boyfriend and my daughter. I am the planner in the family. I take care of all of our travel research & arrangements as well as school our daughter. My boyfriend John works in construction, which basically means he can fix, remodel and build pretty much everything! He does this work in between our travels to help supplement our income. My wonderfully brilliant daughter is 9 years old. She is very mature for her age and well behaved. A lot of my friends describe her as having an "old soul". However, she is still a little girl with a wild imagination! One of the biggest reasons we changed to this lifestyle is because I want my daughter to see other lands and experience other cultures in person, rather than reading about it in a book. I feel it is the best education she can get!
As tenants we are very low maintenance, quiet and tidy. We like staying at lodging that gives us the true feeling of what it would be like to live in that country. We also love meeting new people and receiving advice from a local about what to do on our visit. Especially where to eat, haha! Our favorite part about traveling is the food!! If you need references in addition to our reviews let me know. We have plenty! :o)
