Fantastic guest! Dont hesitate in have them at your place. Really easy to deal with them. It was a pleasure to have you here, come back again. Obrigado!
Veronique is a friendly and polite person, but unfortunately we have mixed feelings with this booking. Firstly, they made a booking for one night and for the maximum occupancy of the flat (2 people) using the inmediate booking option, and only after they told us they were also travelling with their 18 months son. When we raised concerns given that the flat is for 2 people only and there's no place for a baby, they said they would be travelling with their travel cot. This worked more or less ok for us and accepted keeping the booking (also because Airbnb strongly discourages hosts from cancelling and we didn't want to be penalised). However, after Veronique and her family checked out we realised they had been using extra sheets for the sofa, so I guess they never brough the travel cot.
Secondly, despite their flight had landed on time, they arrived 2 hours late to the meet up and only called us when we had been waiting already for an hour (an all our attempts to reach her were useless since her phone number as per the Airbnb profile was not the phone number she is using now). Although she deeply and sinceresly apologised about 20 times and then she left a bottle of wine to compensate Moi for his 2 hours of waiting time and for having had to cancel his lunch plans -not to mention that by the time they arrived he was starving-, we were very upset because we are always very considerate with our guests' time and consideration should go both ways. So even if the situation at the airport was stressful for them trying to get a car with baby chair, we would have appreciated a call when they realised that they won't be able to make it anymore at the agreed time.
However, I understand that the circumstances were unfortunate for both parties and that they were not having fun at all at the airport.
Considering the waiting time, the stress trying to reach her and the extra laundry work, this was too much of a hassle for a booking of just one night. We wouldn't repeat the experience in the same circumstances.
Veronique, her husband and her adorable son were great guests. They were friendly, punctual and understanding and returned all item in the studio. They are definitely welcomed at Q-studio anytime.
In 2008, Véronique and I began working for the same theatre company in Montreal and since then, have become great friends. Véronique is a generous, caring, intelligent, creative individual. She loves learning, is fun, open-minded and is always sincere. She and her husband Edgar hosted me while they were still living in Paris in 2011 and they have been recent guests at my B&B in Prince Edward County. A wonderful person to spend time with and get to know.
