Odile was a fantastic host. Very welcoming. Property was about 10 min taxi ride to French Quarter. Place was beautiful. Loved the full size shower and how the room reminded me that I was in NOLA. 5 stars!
My experience in this house was amazing. The house is very clean and nice. There are clean sheets and clean towels. House decor is impeccable. The host is very nice and makes you feel at home. She went to the extent of giving us a ride. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a clean, nice and affordable place to stay. The walk to the French quarters is around 25 minutes. The walk is delightful. Would recommend doing it at least once during the day.
My girlfriend and I had a great first experience with AirBnB and Odile. The rooms were as clean and pristine as the pictures. Odile was very responsive to our questions and even provided recommendations on sights to see. I am delighted to have had this experience and would recommend it to others.
Odile was the perfect host. Before we arrived she answered all of our questions through email and text promptly and accurately. Her home was very welcoming and warm. Great bed!! And in a great location. Just 2 blocks off the bus line which we used to go everywhere!
Odile made my girlfriend and I feel more than welcome during our stay over Mardi Gras.
She left us a key to enter her house because she would be marching in a parade which was very convenient.
Her house is as advertised, very clean, quiet, and has a spacious shower. She provided tips on local food and events and was very helpful.
I would definitely recommend Odile and her home to family and friends and yes...even you internet strangers looking for some fun in New Orleans.
AMENITIES: Odile's home was gorgeous and clean. All the necessities provided including Wifi, laundry, extra blankets, sparkling bathroom, drinkable tap water, clean refrigerator, warm heating which helped during the cold November nights etc. Almost felt as I was staying in the guest room of an old friend. Odile was also very prompt and responsive to texts for any questions that I had while I was away from the home.
COMMUTE: The location is approximately a 25 minute walk to Frenchman's St and Bourbon St area. 35 minute bus ride/walk to the Ernst Convention Center via the 91 Bus. The walk along Esplanade towards downtown itself is fine during the day but in the evenings I'd advise guests to exercise common sense because the direct route by foot might take you through some unsavory spots. Best to familiarize yourself with the area during the day, though I was warned by several taxi drivers that some areas that are fine during the day could be shady at night. Taxis in the NOLA area do not typically take reservations more than 15 minutes in advance unless you are traveling to the airport but I got in touch with a reliable driver whose contact information I will be forwarding to Odile for future reference.
HOST: Odile is gentle, welcoming, open-hearted and easy to laugh. She took a lot of time out of her busy schedule to show me how to use her laundry facilities, give me tips for exploring the city and regale me with photos and stories of her past indecencies and debauchery (just kidding on the last part). Also, I never felt as if I could not trust her or her company, which was very important to me as I would often leave valuables behind in my absence during the day.
All in all, a fantastic value for the price.
Odile was great- the bedroom and bathroom was sparkling clean. The location is great 10$ taxi drive from french quarter.
I would highly recommend it for anyone. You can call united cabs they are great and come super quick! Thank you!
I loved Odile's home and I loved staying there. Odile is so sweet and very thoughtful and mindful. Her home is very well done and super clean. The whole place is tastefully renovated with care and very much feels a part of the neighborhood. It is very beautiful and the bathroom is nicer than a hotel's. The bedroom was super quiet and I enjoyed feeling the breeze from the open window. Great closet too which is a rarity in New York. I came to New Orleans for an intense job and it was very helpful to be able to focus, be quiet and feel at ease. The neighborhood is great and her block is very special. Location wise, it was perfect situated in the middle of all the events I attended. If you value an immaculately clean home that is quiet and calm where you can be centered, Odile's place is perfect. I feel like it's very important to start your day off in a good way and Odile's home is a good place for that. I was centered and calm and that helped me create work that I'm super
happy with. Thank you Odile!
Nicole was prompt in answering my messages and met me when I arrived as planned. Her place was easy to find and a moderate walk to the French quarter. Very clean and quiet and only a few blocks from a great local independent coffee shop.
My experience here was top notch. The bathroom looked like it was designed by Hilton, the bedroom was comfortable and spacious. Kitchen and living room were also very spacious. Odile was very accommodating and an amazing host.
Highly recommend for a weekend stay in NOLA.
See my previous review.
Odile is great - very positive and polite and left the place clean. Didn't see her much because of her full schedule, but every interaction I did have was great. I highly recommend her as a guest.
