I'd never want a guest to feel like they had a bad experience which is why I offered Elizabeth a full refund after she wrote a lengthy email to us about her discomfort. Elizabeth stay made us seriously ask ourselves if our standards when it came to cleaning were lower than average. Our next few guests quickly reconciled this by saying the place was very clean. I am to this day still a bit perplexed about Elizabeth's concerns on cleanliness but maybe it's because she owns her own cleaning company and can see dust and dirt which is not visible to normal human eye. As we do live in the home and eat in our kitchen, I doubt we will ever live up to her standards.
Regardless, it was a learning having her stay with us. We deeply appreciated her feedback and have arranged for a cleaner to come in once a week since her stay with us to do a deep cleaning of all the rooms.
