I was born and raised in LA and still live in LA. I am a third generation Japanese-American. I attended USC for undergrad and UCLA for my MBA. I am a management consultant. I like classical music (Mozart, Pachebel), soft rock (Josh Groban, Celine Dion) and PBS (Downton Abbey). I like movies that a historical backdrop (ie., Lincoln, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, Les Miz) and for books, I prefer non-fiction such as biographies of great women or self-improvement books. I consider myself to be a spiritual person although I am not tied to any particular religion. I have two adorable cats that are very dog-like (they greet me at the front door when I come home and they will chase balls). I like to keep fit and go to the gym 2-3 times per week. I lead a healthy life style and eat mainly fruits, veggies, chicken and fish. I love to travel and my favorite destinations are England, Japan and Italy. I prefer to travel serendipitously and avoid planned vacations. The five things I couldn't live without: family/friends, food/water, my 2 cats, my computer and exercise.
Further information on me can be found at my business website: (website hidden).
I am on the board of the Institute of Management Consultants. A newsletter was published late last year which included an interview of me. The link to this article is:
In 2011, I contributed 2 chapters to a business reference book called "The Book on Business from A to Z". On YouTube, there are 2 interviews of me with the publisher of this book on each chapter. To access these videos, go to (website hidden) and do a search using my name which is Bette Hiramatsu.
My life motto is to lead a healthy, loving life of high integrity while contributing back to society.
I have attached 3 photos: the first is a professional headshot, the second is from a recent family wedding held at El Capitan Canyon resort in Santa Barbara, CA and the last photo is with David Ono, the local ABC-TV news anchor (and another friend).
