The location was very close to the train station, restaurants, and gelato shops in Monterosso. The place was clean and spacious. My stay in Monterosso was amazing, and the fact that I stayed somewhere very close to everything made everything better.
We had a great stay at Giuseppe's place! The place was a little small for four of us (we had the room with the bunk bed), but we appreciated having the balcony to add to the room space. It was also nice that we had our own bathroom in the room since I had thought we'd have to share with guests in the other room. Instead, it was a small but private space. There were plenty of fluffly clean towels and extra blankets. We appreciated the clean room as well as the wonderful fresh breakfasts and coffee at the focaccia shop. Thank you again!
The place didn't really look like the pictures, did not have a balcony, we couldn't get WiFi to work, and we never found the place we were supposed to get breakfast at, but all in all it was a decent stay. We also stayed one night in Manarola in another AirBnB which was so amazing, so nothing really could have compared to that!
Giuseppe wrote us promptly after we contacted him in advance of our stay, and gave us great directions to meet up at his Focacciaria, from where we were guided to our room. On the first day, our WiFi didn't work, but by day two the staff reset the router and we were able to enjoy internet access. The food at the Focacciaria is amazing! We loved our stay in Monterosso and hope to visit again someday.
like others have said - english communication is a bit weak but he makes an effort and you deal with a third party. room is smaller than i expected, pictures make it look bigger. there is only enough space to walk around the bed. only enough room for 2 people. Wifi is weak so don't rely on it much. wish there was air conditioning but overall it was pleasant. You are really in 5terre to enjoy the view and the hike and will be in your room at minimum then this is a great affordable place to stay
My two friends and I came here for one night from Florence to hike the Cinque Terre and it was perfect! A great place to start the hike and you get breakfast at the amazing (still drooling over the food) foccaceria that is owned by Giuseppe and his family. The room was just a few mins walk from the beach... clean and spacious enough for 3 ppl. The bathroom was nice and clean and we had a nice terrace. The whole family was very nice and helpful (they let us keep our bags in a safe place in the foccaceria after check out while we hiked)! I would certainly recommend this for a quick stay in the beautiful Cinque Terre!!
Nice room close to beach, fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff :)
Room is exactly as pictured, very clean and extremely close to the beach. No a/c, so could be very hot in the summer months, but this was no issue for us.
As all of the other reviews warned it was a pain to get ahold of "Giuseppe". Never even met him in fact dealt with different people every day and when we showed up to the foccocerria where we were originally instructed to meet the neighbor hotel concierge was nice enough to tell us that they were not open on Thursday. Fortunately he was able to help us otherwise we might have been in trouble. He made some phone calls and a very disgruntled person showed up to let us in to our place after we waited around for a while. Aside from this mishap the room worked great and the breakfast at the foccoceria was great!
This location was simple and clean with a good breakfast option. The walls are very thin, and the room much smaller than expected, but overall it was a fine place to stay.
Carla
